Actor Elliot Page, 34, sat down with Oprah Winfrey for his first on-screen interview since announcing he was trans in December, 2020.

Page—star of such hits as Juno, The Umbrella Academy and Inception—was shown in a clip from the interview crying "tears of joy" when opening up about his transition.

While the full interview with Winfrey airs April 30 on Apple+, this clip has been circulating around the internet and whetting our appetites.

Winfrey asked Page a question often omitted from discussions with trans folk:

"What part of your transition has actually brought you the most joy?"

Page took a moment before answering:

"It's the little… you know, getting out of the shower and the towel's around your waist and you're looking at yourself in the mirror and you're just like, 'There I am.'
"And I'm not having the moment where I'm panicked…. It's being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body for probably the first time."

Page's interview with Oprah comes on the heels of several Republican sponsored anti-trans bills proposed throughout the United States.

Page spoke on that as well and its impact on his decision to share his transition publicly.

"This time we're in right now, and especially with this horrible backlash we're seeing towards trans people, particularly trans youth, it really felt imperative to do so."

Page knew he was a boy since he was a toddler, according to an interview with Vanity Fair:

"All trans people are so different, and my story's absolutely just my story. But yes, when I was a little kid, absolutely, 100%, I was a boy. I knew I was a boy when I was a toddler. I was writing fake love letters and signing them 'Jason'."
"Every little aspect of my life, that is who I was, who I am, and who I knew myself to be. I just couldn't understand when I'd be told, 'No, you're not. No, you can't be that when you're older.' You feel it. Now I'm finally getting myself back to feeling like who I am, and it's so beautiful and extraordinary."

The full interview with Oprah will be streamed on Apple TV+ on Friday, April 30, 2021.

Lauren Boebert In Hot Water After She's Busted Spending Campaign Funds On Kid Rock Concert Tickets

Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert is facing criticism after Federal Election Commission (FEC) records showed she spent over $3,300 of her campaign funds on concert tickets and a hotel in Texas on the same weekend her once-rumored boyfriend—MAGA singer Kid Rock—was performing.

Boebert’s campaign reported expenses for a hotel stay in Arlington, Texas, and for event tickets purchased in May. On May 16, Boebert attended the Rock N Rodeo — part of the Professional Bull Riding Championship World Finals at AT&T Stadium — an event hosted by Kid Rock. She even shared a photo of herself with the singer on social media.

Back in the political chaos of 2018, the Sons of Anarchy star revealed that he deliberately peed on his hand before greeting Weinstein at a charity event.
