Drew Barrymore Shares Sweet Throwback Video Of 'E.T.' Interview: 'I Will Be Forever Grateful'

The actor and talk show host shared a video of her 7-year-old self being interviewed about 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,' her breakout role, on Instagram.

Drew Barrymore reminisced about her time on the set of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial with a throwback video on Instagram, reflecting on her breakout role in the beloved film from over 40 years ago.

On her talk show in 2022, she fondly remembered her attachment to her on-screen companion, the extraterrestrial creature E.T., even caring for the animatronic puppet during breaks.


"I really loved [E.T.] in such a profound way. I would go and take lunch to him."

Barrymore's enduring relationship with director Steven Spielberg, who cast her in the film, highlights the special bond between them, with Spielberg playing a parental figure in her life during her early years in the industry.

In the clip, below, a young Barrymore confidently discussed her experience filming and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the iconic movie.
