Trump Roasted After Blatantly False Story About MAGA Senator 'Coaching' Patrick Mahomes

Trump told reporters a story on Wednesday about how Republican Senator and former football coach Tommy Tuberville "coached" Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in college—except they never overlapped at Texas Tech.

Republican President Donald Trump praised GOP Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville–a former college football coach–for having done a great job coaching future NFL star Patrick Mahomes in college.

If only that were true.

The internet immediately called out Trump's false claim given that Tuberville never personally coached the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.

They were both at Texas Tech, but not at the same time.

Tuberville was the head football coach for the Red Raiders at Texas Tech, where Mahomes played until the Chiefs selected him for 10th overall in the 2017 NFL draft.

The would-be Senator left Texas Tech in 2012 to head coach at the University of Cincinnati two years before Mahomes arrived in Lubbock to play with the public research university in 2014.

Trump delivered his fabricated story on Wednesday when he signed an executive order banning transgender women from women's sports.

During the signing, Trump mentioned to reporters:

“And Tommy Tuberville, a great coach."

He continued:

“You know, his quarterback was named Mahomes. He was a great college coach. And I said, ‘How good was he?’ He said, ‘You don’t want to know how good. He made me into a great coach.’ "

"He’s a pretty good quarterback, right? Yeah, he was very good. He’s a good guy, too," Trump added.

Social media users rolled their eyes over yet another one of Trump's pointless lies, proving there is no detail too small to be lied about.

Despite the internet debunking Trump's lie, Tuberville still shared the clip without any attempt at clarifying the truth.

MAGA gonna MAGA.

Tuberville also claimed to have recruited Mahomes to join the Red Raiders, but that was also debunked.

According to AL, the Cover 3 podcast found that Texas Tech was "recruiting another quarterback, D.J. Gillen, and Mahomes wasn't recruited by Texas Tech until a month after Tuberville left the school for the Univesity of Cincinnati and Gillen decommitted."

Mahomes will be making his fifth appearance at the Super Bowl LIX match against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans.

Trump Sparks Concern After Repeatedly Confusing Alaska With Russia Ahead Of Putin Meeting

President Donald Trump turned heads on Monday after he repeatedly claimed he's going to "Russia" on Friday—very openly confusing the country with the state of Alaska, the actual location where he plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin for a highly anticipated summit.

Trump made the mix-up during a press conference about crime in Washington, D.C., where he has already moved to federalize the police and deploy the National Guard, citing inflated crime statistics that compared D.C. to Baghdad and Brasilia.

JB Pritzker Explains Exactly Why Trump Is Pushing His GOP Allies To Redistrict—And He's Spot On

Speaking on NBC's Meet the Press, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker perfectly explained why President Donald Trump is pushing for gerrymandered redistricting in Republican-led states amid pushback from Democrats in Texas.

Redistricting has been all over the news cycle in the days since Texas Democrats fled the state to avoid voting on a new heavily-gerrymandered redistricting map and to deny their GOP colleagues a quorum, the minimum number of lawmakers required to conduct legislative business.
