Trump Hilariously Mocked for Telling Hannity Doctors 'Were Very Surprised' That He 'Aced' a Cognitive Test

With polls and projections remaining grim in the face of his pandemic and protest response, President Donald Trump's campaign is scrambling to regain its foothold against Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

As a result, Trump and his campaign have been targeting Biden's cognitive abilities, claiming that "Sleepy Joe" is too senile to be President.

At a recent press conference, a Fox News reporter asked Biden about his cognitive ability, to which he replied:

"I can hardly wait to compare my cognitive capability to the cognitive capability of the man I'm running against."

Biden's resolve hasn't discouraged Trump from using the talking point. Trump even challenged Biden to take a cognitive test—one that Trump says he "aced."

The President repeated that talking point in an interview with one of his most vocal supporters: far-Right Fox News host Sean Hannity. However, it doesn't seem to have had the effect he was hoping.

Watch below.

Trump said:

"[Biden] hasn't taken any cognitive tests because he couldn't pass one. I actually took one very recently. You know, the radical left was saying 'Is he all there? Is he all there?' And I proved I was all there, cause I aced it. I aced the test. And he should take the same exact test...I took it at Walter Reed Medical Center in front of doctors and they were very surprised. They said, 'That's an unbelievable thing. Rarely does anybody do what you just did."

The most recent cognitive test from Trump came from January 2018, in which the White House physician claimed he'd made a perfect score.

But the boast that doctors were "very surprised" at his score ended up being more of a self-own.

Others jokingly imagined how the test actually went.

Trump assured Hannity of his cognitive abilities hours after a morning Twitter meltdown in response to the Supreme Court rulings on his taxes.

People who have not performed in front of a live audience might assume that adequate rehearsal time and production planning ensure things will go smoothly.

But seasoned performers will tell you that mistakes happen, no matter how well-rehearsed or fine-tuned the project is. When the mistake is obvious enough that the audience becomes aware of it, the best thing to do is laugh it off or incorporate the mistake into the program as much as possible to keep the show going.
