After 14 years since Britney Spears' smash single "Toxic" dominated the charts, it's as hot as ever, thanks to a dog's howl.

In this viral video, the dog is squealing in a high pitch riff that sounds uncannily similar to the hit song's intro punctuated by high-pitched Bollywood strings. And he's right on pitch.

Twitter user Matt filmed his full-blooded heeler, Riley, and tweeted, "Is it just me or does Riley sound like he's singing toxic by Britney Spears?"

Is Riley being deliberate? No one really knows for sure, but the sonic coincidence is too big to ignore.

Matt's hysterical video garnered over 184,000 likes and people couldn't get enough of the canine's tribute to Britney.

What better way to share this viral video than by using the pop song's opening lyric?

A new remix was inevitable.

It looks like Riley has some new fans.

"Toxic," a catchy dance song about an unhealthy obsession and lust, was originally offered to singer Kylie Minogue for her 2003 album "Body Language." She rejected it, but the Australian-British singer was not at all resentful of her missed opportunity.

According to Wikipedia, Minogue told "The Sun":

I wasn't at all angry when it worked for her. It's like the fish that got away. You just have to accept it.

Now that Riley's rendition of Toxic gave the song more mileage in popularity for Britney in 2018, would Kylie be changing her tune?
