Fox News Host Bars Pro-Trump Lawmakers From His Show: 'I Don't Want To Hear Their Crap'

Fox News Host Bars Pro-Trump Lawmakers From His Show: 'I Don't Want To Hear Their Crap'
CBS

Former President Donald Trump's lies about the validity of the 2020 election have irrevocably eroded public trust in American democracy among an unignorable faction of the Republican party.

While a slim number of GOP elected officials publicly refuted these lies, seven Senators and 138 Representatives in the Republican party voted to throw out certified and verified election results in one or more swing states that Trump lost—even after his election fantasies culminated in a deadly failed insurrection against the U.S. Capitol.

Even now, some of these lawmakers—like far right Congresswoman and prominent conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia—continue to peddle the lie that the election was stolen.

Though the conservative Fox News network repeatedly platformed these lies (and is currently facing lawsuits for doing so), veteran journalist Chris Wallace made clear in a recent interview that he has no interest in platforming elected officials who voted to throw out electoral votes.

"I Was Sickened" - Chris Wallace On The Jan. 6th Capitol Insurrectionwww.youtube.com

Late Show host Stephen Colbert asked Wallace about the cynicism in Washington that motivates certain lawmakers to knowingly tell lies that damage American democracy.

Wallace said:

"Well, there were plenty of people, in the Congress, who were the leaders of challenging it who I have just not had on the show ever since then, and have purposefully not had them on, frankly, because I don't want to hear their crap."

Wallace went on to say that while interviewing certain leadership Republicans is unavoidable, he doesn't have anyone on without putting them through the wringer.

People related to his attitude towards the pro-insurrection caucus.

Many considered him one of the only honorable journalists on the Fox News network.

Sadly, right-wing disinformation continues to spread.

Gavin Newsom Hilariously Trolls Trump For Struggling To Stay Awake During Antifa Roundtable

Antifa is a loose network of anti-fascist activists with no central structure, no funding, no membership roster, and no offices or leadership hierarchy for prosecutors to target.

Remote Worker Speaks Out After Job Uses 'Dystopian' Software To Track His Productivity

There are a few vital truths to every office-based job. First, there are going to be "busy work" moments, from meetings to admin tasks to minor side-quest-style projects that add to the company in some small way but otherwise feel like a waste of time.

Second, as human beings, we all need breaks to restore our mental focus, so a person who occasionally scrolls through their personal email, sends a few texts to a friend, or even scrolls Instagram for a few minutes, will likely be more productive than those who attempt to lock in and do nothing but their job throughout their entire shift.
