Struggling Prop Shop Sees Spike In Sales After Britney Spears' Knife-Dancing Video

The Hand Prop Room, the shop where Spears claims she got her fake knives, credited the pop star with helping their struggling business after seeing a 50% increase in rentals following her video.

After all these years, Britney Spears is still a trendsetter, even when just making her somewhat notorious Instagram videos.

Spears caused quite a stir a few weeks ago when she filmed herself dancing with what appeared to be two very real, very sharp kitchen knives—a sight fans found so disturbing they called the cops for wellness check. (Sidebar: please never, ever do this.)

It turned out, of course, that the knives weren't real after all. They were rented from a Los Angeles prop shop, and now that shop is seeing soaring business thanks to Spears' free advertising.

And it couldn't have come at a better time.

The Hand Prop Room in Los Angeles, like so many other businesses tied to the city film and television industry, has been struggling mightily in recent months, given the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes that shuttered Hollywood for months.

Thankfully, the WGA reached a deal in September, and SAG-AFTRA is in continued negotiations with the AMPTP, the consortium of producers and streamers, to hopefully bring their strike to an end, too.

But that, of course, doesn't replace the months of lost revenue for businesses like The Hand Prop Room, which has seen skyrocketing profits, particularly for prop knives, which have reportedly gone up by 50% since Spears' video.

Sure, all those parodies may be kind of, you know, mean... but at least they're helping a small business!

Of course, people on social media have been loving the somewhat happy ending to Spears' knife-dancing story.

Here's hoping next time Britney's having a good time paying tribute to Shakira we can all just leave her alone and let her have her fun. But, at least this time, it worked out for good. Her impact!

Trump Hit With Epic Math Lesson After Making Absurd Claim About Lowering Drug Prices

Percentages are a part of mathematics that a lot of students struggle with. But they should be a breeze for any alumnus of Fordham University or a Penn State Wharton School of Business graduate with a bachelor's degree in economics, like MAGA Republican President Donald Trump.

For example, if you're talking about tangible items, like prices for prescription drugs, those can increase by any percentage, and often do.

Kim Kardashian Just Showed Off An Impossibly Tight Outfit—And Fans Wonder How She Can Even Breathe

When we think of Kim Kardashian and what she's likely to wear, most of us picture something form-fitting and/or revealing, especially when it's for a special event.

But Kardashian took "tight" to a new level when she appeared in a recent piece from a Mugler fashion show. The piece is black, sheer, and sparkling, with long vertical lines. It fully covers the neck, arms, chest, and legs, with peek-a-boo cutouts on the thighs, inner thighs, and buttocks.
