Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas recently traveled to the Mexican/American border, alongside many other GOP Senators, to witness the "crisis that is playing out."

Of course, once he arrived, he captured very little crisis on video.

Though Cruz seemed eager to convince Americans they were in danger, the clip of Cruz standing in some bushes was, in most people's opinion, pretty tame.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke, who ran against Cruz in 2018's Senate race, called out Cruz on Twitter, saying the Senator was "looking for a crisis to cosplay Senator."

O'Rourke then offered several real crises Cruz has done nothing about.

O'Rourke showed Cruz no mercy, roasting the Senator's blatant fear-mongering.

The fact Cruz has ignored so many Texas issues while vilifying immigrants was not lost on many online.

Beto O'Rourke was praised for calling out Cruz.

With many real crises facing Texas, perhaps it's time Ted Cruz climbed out of the bushes of the Rio Grande to start actually working on them.
