Artists Share Their Recent Illustrations That They're Most Proud Of—And We Can Certainly See Why 😮

It's exceedingly difficult to make a living as an artist.

On average, even the most successful visual artists make around $91,000 a year, lower than entry level jobs in some other high-profile industries such as engineering and coding.

Artists are also more prone to mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, and since art come from oneself, that can make working and producing work that the artist is proud of very difficult.

Twitter user @Handsome-Frank decided to take some initiative and get artists feeling proud of their work again:

The results have been astounding.

Some were holiday themed:

Aww.

Some were simple:

Some told lushly told stories:

Some were urban:

Some were abstract:

All of them told us a little bit more about who each artist was as an individual.

The instigator, Handsome Frank, is an illustration agency representing contemporary visual artists around the UK.

From the website:

"Like all the best ideas, Handsome Frank started with a conversation in the pub. We now represent 35 illustrators, spread across five continents and we've worked with some of the biggest brands and agencies in the world.
Despite our growth over the years, we're great believers in keeping things personal. We pride ourselves on building close relationships with our artists and we feel this benefits their creative output and collaborations with clients. Nothing pleases us more than matching the right artist with the right project."

The name came from co-founders Jon and Tom's grandfather Frank.

The agency currently has 38 artists on its roster.

Trump Adviser's Chess Analogy After Trump's Meeting With Canadian Prime Minister Is Epic Self-Own

President Donald Trump's adviser Stephen Miller was mocked online after he used a chess reference to heap praise onto Trump after his Oval office meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Canadian voters returned the Liberal Party to power for a fourth consecutive term after Trump repeatedly threatened Canadian sovereignty amid an ongoing trade war. Carney made defending Canada’s sovereignty a cornerstone of his campaign, pushing back forcefully against Trump’s threats to annex the country as “the 51st state.”

People In Long-Term Relationships Explain What Love Feels Like To Them Now

While some people wax nostalgic about the "good old days" when everyone stayed married, the reality is that there were almost no options for divorced women. There were very few for widows either.

Longevity in relationships was more about necessity and no other choices than devotion. Now that divorce is easily accessible, longterm relationships are more likely to be a choice.
