Anderson Cooper Eviscerates Rod Blagojevich For Claiming He Is A 'Political Prisoner' In Tense Interview

Last week, President Trump commuted the sentence of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who was given a 14-year prison sentence in 2011 for corrupt acts in office, including attempting to sell Barack Obama's former Senate seat to the highest bidder.

Blagojevich, who formerly worked with Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice, is now a free man and has used this opportunity to take to cable news with some pretty bold messages.

Not every reporter is just sitting back and letting the former Governor spread his spin, however.

When Blagojevich referred to himself as a "political prisoner" on Anderson Cooper's program, the reporter came back with some pretty fiery criticism.

Twitter users were as enamored with Cooper as ever.

Let us not forget the many crimes Blagojevich was found guilty of by an impartial jury.

Reporters should speak truth to power, not spread the messages corrupt politicians try to propagate.

No one becomes outraged quite like Anderson.

With President Trump in office, many people think they can bluff their way to success.

Sometimes, however, that's simply not enough.

Anderson Cooper doesn't let corruption slide as easily as President Trump apparently does.

Thanks for holding Blagojevich's feet to the fire, Anderson, you're giving us all hope!

Nevada Police Official Who Taught Policing Classes Fired After He's Caught On Video Calling Cop Gay Slur During Traffic Stop

One of Nevada's top cops—who provided training for law enforcement across the state—gave a master class in how not to act during a traffic stop when he was pulled over for distracted driving in a state vehicle on August 18.

Chief investigator for the office of Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford, William Scott Jr.—a retired Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) captain—did almost everything a person shouldn't do: arguing, name dropping, threatening retaliation, getting out of his vehicle to confront the traffic officer, and verbally berating and mocking the officer while using a homophobic slur.
