Fed-Up Woman Tearfully Asks For Advice After Neighbor Refuses To Stop Dog From Killing Her Chickens
Mar 27, 2026
Having a homestead isn't all cozy videos, cuddly chickens, and freshly baked bread. It comes with hard decisions about animal health and protection, even if that means discussing another animal's life.
Homesteader and TikToker @leathernecklilah had a positive relationship with her neighbor, who owned all of the land around her property, until her neighbor's dog started using her property as its own personal killing station.
Lilah is a keeper of several dozen chickens that she had raised from eggs, and she keeps them as pets and sells their eggs to members of the community. But the neighbor's dog had already attacked on her property multiple times, sometimes killing one chicken and sometimes several.
The neighbor insisted that this land belonged to the dog and that there was nothing they could do about the dog's behavior. They placed the responsibility on Lilah to close up her chickens where the dog wouldn't be able to reach them. The problem was that Lilah had an enclosed area for the chickens, a yard to free graze, as well as their front porch, and the dog welcomed itself into every space.
Lilah noted that after the sixth attack, the neighbor remained unwilling to help, so Lilah's husband stated that he planned to shoot the dog if it came on the property again to attack the chickens.
While she didn't want anything bad to happen to the dog, it was clear that the situation wasn't going to improve if something with the dog itself didn't change.
You can watch the video here:
@leathernecklilah This happened two days ago. Just wanted to hear from others what you would do. #dogsoftiktok #chicken #hatch
In a video posted the next day, Lilah collected video footage from her outdoor cameras of many of the incidents in which the neighbor's dog came on to her property and hurt her animals.
In many cases, the dog could be seen cornering and killing the chickens, while others caught glimpses of the dog racing through the yard after the flock, with notes of how many chickens he'd killed that day. In the final segment, Lilah found one of her chickens wounded and brought her into her home, hoping she'd recover from her severe dog bites.
While they didn't necessarily condone violence, some TikTokers pointed out it was Lilah's right to defend her livestock by any means necessary.

Others went so far as to say that she would be negligent toward her family if she continued to be so patient.

As heart-wrenching as it might be to think of hurting the dog to stop the behavior, this was one of those situations where the dog had basically been taught that this was okay behavior because of not being corrected sooner, and other animals were harmed and killed because of it.
Though they might not need to harm it, perhaps filing reports and putting a price on each chicken would encourage the dog's owners to better retain it.

Woman Goes To ER With Leg Pain Only For Doctors To Wonder How She's Even Still Alive
Mar 27, 2026
Imagine not being able to sleep for several days because of terrible leg pain and finally deciding to finally go to the emergency room for help, only to discover that the leg pain was a sign of something much, much worse.
As she would detail in a later TikTok, TikToker @oujibug had been experiencing a series of symptoms that she ignored because of the costs she was afraid of accruing by seeing her doctor, including dehydration, frequent urination, skin irritation, dramatic weight loss, and eventually, her leg pain.
When she finally went to the ER and explained that her legs hurt and what her experience had been, the medical staff soon inquired whether or not she had diabetes, which, to her knowledge, she did not.
However, a lengthy series of blood work and other tests soon revealed that she had a blood sugar level of 700 and an A1C, the measure of sugar in the bloodstream, of 14. For reference, average levels are below 150 and six.
It was at that time that a doctor admitted:
"I'm surprised you're not unresponsive. I'm surprised you walked in here yourself."
You can watch the original video here:
@oujibug Me: yeah my legs hurt 🧍🏾The doctors: HOW are you ALIVE???
Fellow TikTokers were shocked that @oujibug's situation got that bad.

Others were depressed that some of this could have been prevented if medical care were not so expensive.

The TikToker remained in the hospital for several days while the doctors worked to regulate her blood sugar and start her on medications that would assist with her newly diagnosed diabetes and leg pain while being compatible with her history of depression.
Unfortunately, her leg pain was a product of the undetected diabetes, which had caused autonomic polyneuropathy, an extensive and irreversible nerve damage in her legs. It's also unfortunately a diagnosis that will continue to progress, though she was also placed on medication that will help to slow the progression down.
The problem was that now that her diabetes was being treated, she was also experiencing treatment-induced neuropathy, which was caused by her body's reaction to the sudden level changes in her body, causing the pain to severely spike.
It is fortunate that @oujibug went to the emergency room when she did to address these dangerous issues, and that the treatment-induced neuropathy will go away after her body has had time to stabilize and adjust.
Because of her commitment to immediately changing her diet and exercise, as well as closely monitoring her sugar levels, she's doing everything to make her situation as positive as possible, no matter how bleak it might feel during the transition.

Delta Passenger Stunned After Opening Complimentary Cheez-It Bag To Find Just Three Crackers Inside
Mar 27, 2026
There's nothing as annoying as traveling when you're hungry, except maybe getting a snack that's nowhere near big enough.
During a flight with Delta Airlines, TikToker @kelligt received a small pack of Cheez-It snack crackers but was immediately skeptical when she looked at the packaging, which appeared to be completely flat.
The TikToker began filming and held up the miniature bag of Cheez-It crackers, showing the front first and then turning the bag sideways to show how flat the packaging was, making everyone wonder how many crackers could possibly fit inside.
TikToker @kelligt filmed herself opening the bag, peeking inside, and then tilting the bag toward the camera, revealing that there were a whopping three crackers contained in the package.
Looking visibly frustrated, the TikToker touched the bag to the camera as if to say, "Cheers!" and ended the video.
You can watch the video here:
@kelligt So hungry, happy @delta gave me these delicious @Cheez-It to enjoy 😊
Fellow TikTokers cracked jokes about the poor quality of the snack.

Even Cheez-It chimed in, saying that three crackers were simply not enough.

After connecting with the Cheez-It company, the TikToker shared a follow-up video to show what the snack brand had sent her to make up for the very light in-flight fare.
Weirdly enough, when the TikToker opened the box from the brand, she received a red and yellow Cheez-It ball cap, a bright red hoodie with the company's logo on it, what appeared to be a small, red tote bag with Cheez-It designs all over the bag, and a bunch of packing material.
Despite reaching out to her about the lack of food on the flight, they sent her no actual snacks!
You can watch the video here:
@kelligt Replying to @Cheez-It guess you really only wanted me to have 3?
Fellow TikTokers were flummoxed by how this box of branded gear made the situation better.

It had to have been frustrating to expect a snack to hold herself over during the flight, only to receive three little crackers.
Then, when the snack company itself reached out to address the issue, they only sent branded products for her to advertise the company, without providing her with any of the snacks that the flight had failed to give her!
We all fumble sometimes, but at least we usually make up for it. Despite how comfy and cozy that red hoodie looks, this feels like a double fumble!

Jameela Jamil Just Shared A Brilliant Post About The 'Smear Campaign' Against Chappell Roan—And Other Celebs Agree
Mar 27, 2026
The Good Place star Jameela Jamil has rarely shied away from sharing her opinions, and the recent "scandal" surrounding Chappell Roan is no exception.
Roan has once again become the internet's whipping girl after being accused—falsely, it would seem—of sending her security to harass Jude Law and Catherine Harding's 11-year-old daughter Ada at a hotel in Sao Paolo, where they were dining with Harding's husband, Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello.
To Jamil, the whole thing adds up to a "smear campaign" against the controversial artist, which the media and social media alike love to call "difficult" and who seems to become the internet's Public Enemy #1 every six months or so.
And in an Instagram post, Jamil suggested that in these heavily propagandized times of incessant bot campaigns and the like, none of this is accidental.
In her post, Jamil sarcastically said she agrees with all the Roan "hate," going on to say:
“She is pro Palestine. Pro women. Pro asking for basic respect in the industry."
"She left a huge management firm publicly because the owner was in the Epstein files."
"She’s pro trans. She’s gay. She’s anti-establishment."
"She de-centres men in all of her rhetoric and empowers millions of young people. She calls out her own industry for neglecting the health of young artists.”
Indeed, Roan has repeatedly stood firm on the right side of history on pretty much every issue, and seems to get blowback constantly. But rarely is the blowback actually about her actual stances.
In her caption, Jamil went on to suggest that there was nothing organic about this uproar.
As she sarcastically put it:
"It all seems super organic and legit and not suspicious at all to me..."
"God we love the taste of a smear campaign. Gobble gobble gobble. Yum."
It's easy to shrug Jamil off as a tinfoil hat paranoiac, but what she speaks to is very real: Recent studies have shown that more than half of everything on the internet, including all engagement such as likes, shares and watch time, is fake and propagated by bots as part of influence campaigns designed to change public perception on myriad issues.
This uproar coming just weeks after Roan publicly parted ways with her agent over his appearance in the Epstein files is certainly notable. Especially because the security guard story has never added up.
Harding and Frello claim that Roan sent her security guard to harass Ada until she cried because she walked past Roan's table in the dining area, touching off a viral firestorm about Roan being cruel to a young fan.
But Roan says she had nothing to do with the incident and knew nothing about it until the internet lost its mind over it. The security guard in question, who works for the hotel and not Roan herself, has since posted publicly to back up Roan's version of events.
But of course, at this point, it doesn't really matter: The viral outrage has already done its job in cementing Roan's image as such an unlikable and ungrateful shrew that she made an 11-year-old cry.
As Jamil put it:
“Remember, I have been telling you for 7 years now, a woman is only allowed 2 years at the top before she is dragged into hell and submission.”
On Instagram, many applauded Jamil for calling out the issues with the Roan story, including her fellow celebrities.
Perhaps one day we'll all learn to reserve judgement until we get the actual facts instead of just assuming viral hot takes are correct. But probably not!

Cast Members Urge Fans To 'Stay Woke' After CBS Cancels Groundbreaking 'Star Trek: Starfleet Academy'
Mar 27, 2026
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premiered on Paramount+ on January 15, 2026. The season finale dropped on March 12, 2026.
On March 23, 2026, CBS Studios and Paramount+ dropped the hammer on the series, announcing the show would end after the already filmed second season.
In a joint statement, the companies said:
"We’re incredibly proud of the ambition, passion, and creativity that went into bringing 'Star Trek: Starfleet Academy' to life. The series introduced audiences to a bold new group of characters, welcomed familiar faces, and expanded the Star Trek universe in exciting new ways."
"We’re grateful to Alex Kurtzman, Noga Landau, Gaia Violo, and the entire cast and crew who pushed storytelling boundaries in the spirit of Gene Roddenberry’s vision. We look forward to sharing the upcoming second and final season with everyone, and continuing to celebrate the cast, crew, and all that was accomplished with this series."
The show was heavily targeted with criticism and outright hate online for its "wokeness" before it even premiered, like many projects in the last decade without a focus on a White male lead and a majority White cast.
CBS and Paramount, who have capitulated to MAGA Republican President Donald Trump with his anti diversity, equity, and inclusion policies in the past, didn't specify the anti-woke backlash as the reason for the abrupt cancelation, but many got that message from the move.
Den of Geek headlined their story about the cancelation: "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’s Cancellation Is a Bad Sign, Even If You Didn’t Like It." Other websites and publications sounded the alarm too, calling the cancelation "scary" and a "tragedy."
And the cast is speaking out as well.
Gina Yashere who stars as half-Klingon/half-Jem'Hadar Commander Lura Thok, and Karim Diané who portrays Klingon cadet Jay-Den Kraag, took to Instagram with video messages for the show's fans. Both characters are openly gay in the series.
Yashere wrote:
"I'll let you guys come to your own conclusions as to why we didn't get to continue building on this wonderful legacy."
"Right now, I'm just grateful at having been part of it, and in a business that veers often between feast & famine, I've been able to build the life of my dreams, being able to tell authentic stories, an ability which I truly believe is now under attack."
"Be safe out there peeps."
"Stay woke"
"Wokeywoke. Wokest of the woke. Wokeyliscious. A cacophony of woke."
You can see her video here:
Diané wrote in a comment on his Instagram video post:
"season 2 is GAY AF, and I have SOOOOO much [behind the scenes] content coming your way. Please prepare to be sick of me."
"I'm going to be EVEN LOUDER and more annoying about this beautiful gay Klingon."
"we going out IN FLAMES"
Fans shared their love and outrage in the comments.

A message by Starfleet Academy showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, shared after the cancelation, paid credit to the father of the Star Trek universe, the late Gene Roddenberry, and his "transformative vision of the future."
They wrote:
"That incomparable vision was fueled by an inexhaustible optimism. Star Trek places its bet on the best in human nature."
"It dares to imagine a society of 'infinite diversity in infinite combinations,' free of war, hate, poverty, disease, and repression, and dedicated to the spirit of scientific inquiry and respect for all life, whether carbon or silicon-based, green-skinned or blue."
They also noted Roddenberry was no long-haired '60s hippie, despite the show's 1966 premiere date just after the '63-'65 height of the civil rights movement.
Kurtzman and Landau wrote:
"Gene Roddenberry wasn’t some starry-eyed dreamer. He was a decorated Army bomber pilot in the Pacific Theater. He had seen first-hand the grim consequences of the worst of human nature. And his vision of the future wasn’t just a promise of hope. It was also a warning."
"In a fraught, frightening time of intolerance and violence [the 1960s], 'Star Trek' said: Look! We made it! But just barely. First, we had to put all those ancient scourges [of bigotry] behind us."
"It said that what makes us glorious as a species, and gives us hope for the future and the galaxy is inextricably linked to what makes us dangerous to each other, to this one world we presently inhabit, and to ourselves. That dual message—of hope and of warning—isn’t just a pretty dream but a call to action, to think about who we are in a different way."
They concluded with a quote from Roddenberry himself on what Star Trek is about, writing:
"Please don’t take our word for it. Take Gene’s"
Roddenberry said in 1976:
"'Star Trek' was an attempt to say that humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day that it begins not just to tolerate, but take a special delight in differences in ideas and differences in life forms."
"If we cannot learn to actually enjoy those small differences, to take a positive delight in those small differences between our own kind, here on this planet, then we do not deserve to go out into space and meet the diversity that is almost certainly out there."
As with other entertainment projects without a White male lead and with more than one Black, brown, or Asian cast member, or *gasp* LGBTQ+ characters, Starfleet Academy’s most virulent haters online were heteronormative White males.
They decried Starfleet Academy as too woke, too diverse, too feminist, misandrist, and unworthy of being part of the now 60-year-old franchise.
They clearly don't know Star Trek.
For those fans who have embraced the realization of Roddenberry’s original vision, even if a show wasn't their cup of tea, through the evolution of what was allowed by studio executives on each show—from Black, female and Asian representation (and that interracial kiss) in the original series, to LGBTQ+ representation in Starfleet Academy—the father of the franchise would probably have only one message to share.
Live long and prosper. 🖖🏼
