Johnny Depp Describes How Amber Heard Allegedly Pooped On His Bed In Surreal Trial Video

Johnny Depp Describes How Amber Heard Allegedly Pooped On His Bed In Surreal Trial Video

The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial has been a spectacle since the moment it began airing on Court TV earlier this week.

But Thursday's testimony was on a whole new level—one that saw Depp taking the stand to describe an incident in which Heard allegedly pooped on his bed.

It's difficult to decide which is wilder—the allegation itself or Depp's description of it, in which he used the phrase "dropped a grumpy" and in so doing sparked a whole new euphemism for the scatological.

The defecation incident is but one of several in the couple's chaotic marriage, but it's hard to imagine it not being the most memorable, at least in the eyes of viewers.

Watch Depp's description below.

The story came during Depp's testimony about the final days of his ill-fated marriage to Heard, which ended shortly after her 30th birthday in 2016.

Depp testified that when he went to the couple's penthouse to get some of his belongings while Heard was out of town, he was urged by his security team not to, because of the state of the residence—including the human-derived "grumpy" on the bed.

Depp appeared to struggle to find words to describe the scene, finally admitting that he couldn't help but laugh.

As he put it:

“It was so outside; it was so bizarre and so grotesque that I could only laugh."

Depp went on to describe an encounter in which Heard and her friends were laughing about the incident.

"They were making a wonderful point about just how funny it was that I thought some human being had actually dropped a grumpy on the bed."

"Dropped a grumpy" is just one of several colorful euphemisms Depp used during questioning, referring to it subsequently as a "fecal delivery" and, most uniquely, "fun" during a moment in which he describing how he knew it was human and not dog fecal matter, as Heard claimed.

"They’re teacup Yorkies. They weigh about four pounds each."
"I lived with those dogs. I’ve picked up their… fun. It was not the dogs."

As you might guess, the internet had a field day with this whole thing.

The trial involving Depp and Heard stems from a defamation lawsuit Depp filed against Heard, and a countersuit she filed in response against Depp. Both suits stem from a 2018 op-ed Heard wrote in The Washington Post in which she claimed she suffered domestic abuse during their brief marriage.

Depp lost a similar case in the U.K. against The Sun newspaper, which called him a "wife beater" while reporting on Heard's op-ed.

Guy Calls Out Bugles For 'Ruining' His Childhood After They Changed Their Iconic Shape

Possibly more than any other generation, Millennials were raised with interactive snacks and candies. From dippable cookies and candies to chips perfectly shaped for scooping and build-your-own pizzas, consumers found the interactive experience to be more important than the food itself.

Bugles are a fan favorite example, because while the chips were tasty and crispy, with a solid variety of flavors to choose from, the real point of them was their iconic shape, like the mouth of a bugle horn. Though we didn't openly talk about it at the time, it was a Millennial pastime to put the Bugles on our fingers like long nails, pretending we were fashionistas and gremlins and vampires.
