The wrong Scott Stallings was hilariously stunned after receiving the invitation in the mail.

Most of us have received a piece of mail intended for someone else, usually a previous resident or a neighbor. However, most of us can't say that they have received a piece of mail intended for anyone famous.

Scott Stallings, a Georgia resident, can say just that.

He received an invitation to the Masters which was intended for the pro-golfer by the same name.

After he got the accidental invitation, Stallings reached out to the professional golfer to explain what happened.

Stallings and Stallings shared their story on Instagram.

In a DM he wrote:

“Hi Scott. My name is Scott Stallings as well and I’m from GA."
"My wife’s name is Jennifer too!"
"I received a FedEx today from the Masters inviting me to play in the Masters Tournament April 6-9, 2023."
"I’m (100 percent) sure this is NOT for me.”

The invitations had been sent the week before Christmas.

When all of his golfing contemporaries received their Masters invitations, Stallings—the real one—began checking his mail everyday looking for his invitation.

“Honestly, I thought my wife had it and was doing something for Christmas."
"But then nothing came, and we left two days after Christmas."
"I didn’t even think about.”

The pro golfer said he didn't believe the other Stallings at first until he got a picture of the invitation.

“The guy said, ’I saw my name and never considered it, but I opened it up and like, ’This is not for me.' He sent me a bunch of messages saying, ‘This is not fake, I promise, I have it'.”

When the internet found out, they did what they always do—find the humor in the situation.

Ironically Stallings' wife has the same name as the pro golfer's wife.

“Just saw a picture of it from the other Scott Stallings, with his wife with the same name as mine.”

The invitation is now on its way to the right recipient.

It looks like the incorrect Stallings is going to get to go to the Masters after all though.

The pro golfer said he planned to give Stallings a pair of tickets and take him and his wife out to dinner.

“We’re going to give him some practice-round tickets and take him to dinner on Monday night for doing the right thing.”

GOP Senator Faces MAGA Backlash Over Plan To Sell Millions Of Acres Of Public Land

Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee is facing harsh criticism—including from Team MAGA—over his proposal to sell off millions of acres of public land in the American West owned by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service to supposedly create more affordable housing.

Lee claimed in his proposal that there is an "extensive process for interested parties like States and local governments to nominate land for disposal to meet housing and community needs," noting that it specifically exempts national parks, monuments, and federally designated wilderness areas from potential land sales.

Trump Ripped For Complaining That Americans Get 'Too Many' Federal Holidays Off Work

While it was ultimately former President Joe Biden who established Juneteenth as a federal holiday, President Donald Trump—who once campaigned on that promise—took to Truth Social on Juneteenth to whine about the number of "non-working holidays" Americans get, claiming that it costs businesses "billions of dollars."

Juneteenth is derived from June 19, 1865, when Union troops led by General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and declared that all enslaved African Americans in the state were free.
