We can all learn a lesson from Martha Heft. At 99-years-old, Heft is keeping busy by putting the focus on others and using her time to make the world a little better.

Heft has been sewing since she was five-years-old and took home economics in high school. The Clearwater, Florida, resident is now 99 and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.

Heft told the Miami Herald:

When I was 5 years old I started to sew on a Damascus Treadle Sewing Machine, and from then on and in high school I took home economics. I thought that was the easiest way to get A's.

It wasn't until Hurricane Maria devastated the island of Puerto Rico that Heft realized her skills could be of service. Her sewing group put together over 60 unique dresses for an orphanage. The group hand writes and pins a personal note to each dress so the girls know they are loved.

Heft keeps it simple, saying about the project:

As long as God grants me life and health, I'm happy to do this. I just wish I had a little bit more speed.
