A woman said she cried blue tears after a botched body modification procedure she had done on her eyes five years ago.

Amber Luke, who goes by @amberluke666 on Instagram, told her followers about how her eyeball tattoo left her temporarily blind and that she had become "completely incapable of being an independent person."

"The torturous procedure had me endure 4 syringe injections into each of my eyeballs (if done correctly—only supposed to be 2 injections)," she recalled of her procedure from five years ago.

"I cried blue tears for 2 days after the procedure was performed. (botched)," she continued.

In a juxtaposed photo in her post, she showed another inking procedure that was more of a success, which was that of an illustration on her ribs depicting a woman with blue tears streaming out of her eyes.

"This tattoo on my ribs done by my main @missbreezeartist - who absolutely nailed the concept on the head."

Luke said she aimed to have a full-body suit by the time she was 25, and that she had about 98% done in five years.

So far, Luke spent £129,000 (roughly $162,734.14) on tattoos, surgeries, and injections.

"We now see the ‘Blue Eyes White Dragon’ emerge. I am humbly proud to be the person I am today," wrote Luke.

Social media users praised Luke for coming forward to share her story.

Luke discussed her traumatic ordeal once before back in 2019.

Speaking to Barcroft TV Luke said:

“I can't even begin to describe to you what the feeling was like, the best thing I can give you is once the eyeball was penetrated with the ink, it felt like [the tattoo artist] grabbed ten shards of glass and rubbed it in my eye."
"That happened four times per eye, that was pretty brutal.”
