Completely fed up with her followers who get "really bent out of shape" over her use of filters on social media, Valerie Bertinelli issued a "PSA" video on Instagram.
A makeup-free and filterless Bertinelli first addressed her critics by stating:
“I’m filming with no filter today because some of y’all get really bent out of shape when I choose to use a filter, which I’ve told you about."
She continued:
“Sometimes I use a filter, and sometimes I don’t."
"Most of the time, I do use a filter because this is me with no makeup, and this is no filter.”
The Food Network star then went on to call out those who accuse her of wearing a wig in her videos.
“Can you get me a wig without flipping gray roots then, please?"
"Because I’m tired of getting my roots done every two weeks."
She proceeded to give her followers an up-close look at her roots.
Bertinelli did also acknowledge the "kind, sweet people" in the comments.
“Thank goodness 99.9% of you are like, really kind, sweet people and don’t give a flying flip whether I have roots or I put a filter on."

Bertinelli's pal Tiffani Thiessen told her to pay the haters no mind.
"Don't give that any energy friend. It ain't worth it."
"I literally erase and ignore that noise. Did that for my sanity a long time ago."

Of course, Bertinelli is no stranger to calling out people online who make snide remarks about her appearance.
In fact, just over the summer, the actor responded to a comment on TikTok that said her "Botox looks great."
Per HuffPost, Bertinelli addressed the commenter:
“I know you didn’t mean that as a compliment, but let’s talk about it, shall we?”
She then proceeded to reveal she had actually gotten Botox several years earlier and "hated it." She even showed a photo as proof.
But then Bertinelli got down to the reason she really wanted to respond to the comment: to urge women to stop shaming other women.
"We have to stick together, OK? Don’t shame somebody if they want to do something, anything, to make themselves feel better as they go out into this insane, flippin’ crazy world, OK?”
