Ivanka Trump, eldest daughter of and adviser to President Donald Trump, will be leading the US Olympic Delegation during the closing ceremonies of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea on Sunday.

Twitter isn't happy about it. Ivanka is an unpaid adviser to Trump but has no official title or role within the White House.

The fact that Ivanka isn't even an elected official really bothered Jen, who wondered how "there was not ONE ELECTED official who could have represented our country?"

Some users, like Asinus Asinum Fricat, really let Ivanka have it, calling her the "complicit daughter" who is only going to "atone for Pence's horrendous mistakes in South Korea."

Ivanka, who owns a fashion company that manufactures many of its products in Korea, also drew ire of Twitter.

"Would you also be doing a little business while there?" Carole asked, mockingly.

Carole wasn't the only one wondering about potential conflicts of interest. Citizens for Ethics pointed out that she has no "foreign policy experience. She does have trademarks in South Korea, though."

"What gives her the right to lead anyone?" wondered Randy Atkins.

It is pretty unorthodox for an un-elected individual to represent the United States at the Olympics. But these are the Trump's we're dealing with, and normal isn't a thing for them.

Vice President Mike Pence led the US Delegation at the opening ceremonies, and drew controversy due to his anti-LGBTQ record. Openly gay athletes Adam Rippon and Gus Kenworthy both refused to meet with him and described his presence as disgraceful.

Now that the competition is over, however, Rippon has changed his tune.

But the strangest opinion on Ivanka's visit came from President Trump himself, which seemed to take a dig at VP Pence, whether intentional or not. While praising Ivanka, Trump said "we cannot have a better, or smarter, person representing our country."
