Having our lives relentlessly tracked by all of our internet-enabled devices definitely has its benefits and makes scores of day-to-day tasks simpler and easier.

But there's an underbelly to all that data-tracking, as a woman on Twitter learned the hard way after her Apple Watch notified her family about her and her boyfriend's simultaneous "workouts."

Twitter user @lolgeorgee posted screenshots of the notifications showing what she and her boyfriend had been up to, and the tweet has since gone viral as others share in her embarrassment. See her tweet below.

Georgia captioned her Twitter photo:

"Not my family getting these notifications from me & my boyfriend on their apple watches 😭"

And it turns out, she's not alone in this experience.

Several others on Twitter shared similar mishaps with their Apple Watch notifications giving others updates on their, um, private activities.

One even had a story of being notified of their own mother's "workout" activities with her boyfriend. She responded to Georgia with the story:

"I'll never forget that time my mom was at her man's house and her Apple Watch told me...she had just finished a workout at 10pm."

Nobody needs to know their mother's "workout" regimen. Yikes.

Thankfully, Georgia later clarified the whole thing was a joke--after gazillions of people had already commented to offer guidance on how to disable the notifications, of course.

In a follow-up tweet, she wrote:

"TO BE CLEAR: this is just a little joke. My brother put his watch on later in the day and got all his notifications at once. I cannot stress enough how this is just a little joke. Please stop messaging me. I NEED PEACE."

But of course that didn't stop Twitter from posting a ton of hilarious responses.

Careful out there with those Apple Watches, kids!

People In Long-Term Relationships Explain The Things No One Tells You About

None of us can look into the future and scan everything that will ever happen to us, so there's really no telling exactly what will happen at that job, during that vacation, or throughout that relationship.

But at least on the last point, there are some things that tend to come up in long-term relationships and marriages that brand new love birds might not see coming.

Working Mom Gets Emotional After Realizing She's Missing All Her Baby's Major Milestones

Anyone who has raised children or is regularly around children can attest that they truly do grow up so fast.

That's what makes it so hard for new parents to go back to work after having a baby. It's not necessarily balancing the new responsibilities of parenthood with their preexisting responsibilities as a working adult, in an office and at home. It's the fact that they're going to miss out on some of the first moments and milestones with their children, which they can't ever get back.
