Trump Lawyer Says Ousted Cybersecurity Chief Should Be 'Shot' For Defending Election's Integrity

Trump Lawyer Says Ousted Cybersecurity Chief Should Be 'Shot' For Defending Election's Integrity

Earlier this month, President Trump fired Chris Krebs, the head of U.S. Cybersecurity, for saying publicly that there was no evidence of voter fraud during the 2020 elections and that Americans should have faith in the results.

Krebs's statement directly contradicted President Trump's repeated, baseless claims that the election was stolen from him.

Earlier this week, one of Trump's lawyers, Joseph diGenova, said Krebs should be executed for his loyalty to the truth.

On a recent episode of The Howie Carr Show, diGenova gave a call-in interview claiming:

"Anybody who thinks the election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity, that guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot."

Carr, who is well known for peddling conspiracy theories that benefit President Trump, simply chuckled at diGenova's claim and continued with the show.

Krebs, who identifies as a Republican, appeared on 60 Minutes following his firing. During his interview, he once again stood up for the integrity of the election, saying:

"We can go on and on with all the farcical claims alleging interference in the 2020 election, but the proof is in the ballots. The recounts are consistent with the initial count, and to me that's further evidence, that's confirmation that the systems used in the 2020 election performed as expected."

Following false attacks from the President, many Trump supporters have been harassing Krebs with death threats. While on the Today show, the former Cybersecurity Chief hinted at future legal action:

"The way I look at is that we're a nation of laws and I plan to take advantage of those laws. I've got an exceptional team of lawyers that win in court and I think that they're probably going to be busy."

Despite their repeated claims that there was foul play at work during the 2020 election, the Trump campaign has failed to produce any evidence to substantiate their accusations and have lost the overwhelming majority of their court battles.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
