It's almost New Year.

And the most common New Years' resolution? To get yourself on track with fitness.

We all know most people stick to that plan for about two weeks, and then suddenly, the gyms are abandoned again. But some people really follow through with their fitness journeys, and those people are an inspiration to all of us.

Check it out.

Meet Vande Wade Hinds, an assistant city and district attorney from Waxahachie, Texas.

(Translation: American Vance Wade Hinds, who, last year weighed 215 kilograms (475 lbs) shared his story on Facebook to help other people with obesity.)

Hinds, who was inspired by comedian Bert Kreischer's sober October challenge in 2017.

Hinds decided to take matters into his own hands after realizing his body weight was approaching 500 lbs. His journey began last November, and within just one week, he'd already lost 10 lbs.

See his journey here:

Now well past the 365 day mark, where Hinds had already lost 200 lbs, he continues on his fitness journey, often sharing his meals and plans to his personal Facebook page.

On Christmas Eve 2018, Hinds shared another video of a morning weigh-in, showing that he is holding steady at 200 lbs under his starting weight.

And the support is pouring in from all sides.

2019 is coming. Will you stay as resolute as Vance Wade Hinds did?
