Just when you think you've heard it all, here comes MAGA gun rights musician Ted Nugent comparing himself to Rosa Parks.
The comment happened during an appearance on far-right network Real America's Voice while Nugent was signing merch for fans. But not just any merch—merch emblazoned with the phrase "I will not comply"—a reference to mask mandates, vaccines and gun control.
But boy oh boy does he believe in his cause, because he told a fan he's "like Rosa Parks" for standing up against public health measures he considered an infringement upon his freedom. So inspiring.

Nugent told his hosts:
"What a beautiful statement, ‘I will not comply.’ I’m like Rosa Parks with a Glock."
"You try to give me a stupid, immoral, nonsensical, arbitrary, capricious, punitive, mandate mask puke, and I will not comply."
A reminder in case you've forgotten, Parks protested segregation by refusing to give up her seat on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama in the 1960s—a place and time where Black people were routinely beaten to death by law enforcement, hunted and lynched by their neighbors and terrorized by the KKK.

Nugent has a long history of calling himself Rosa Parks, though previously it's always been about his favorite thing—guns.
He did so in 2019 in protest of a new hunting law in his home state of Michigan, calling the backlash against the law a "Rosa Parks moment." Back in 2013 he did it when then-President Barack Obama was rumored to be considering an executive order to curb gun violence.
Nugent's latest comparison of himself to Parks didn't go over well on social media.
It's worth noting Rosa Parks did everything she did without ever selling merch.
Nugent, on the other hand, is happy to sell you an autographed MAGA hat or an autographed photo of him with former Republican President Donald Trump for $30 while he's fighting the good fight about masks or guns.
