Massive Sturgeon Stuns Onlookers After Attacking Mermaid Performer Mid-Show In Wild Video

Massive Sturgeon Stuns Onlookers After Attacking Mermaid Performer Mid-Show In Wild Video

A performer dressed as a mermaid got a scary shock when a huge sturgeon in the Chinese aquarium she was performing in suddenly sucked her head right into its mouth before she was able to get away.

It's not just sharks you have to watch out for.

A mermaid performer learned this the hard way when her performance in a freshwater aquarium went horribly awry.

In a video posted from China, the mermaid was seen performing as usual when a very large fish came to join the performance. Instead of just swimming by or pausing in curiosity, the fish, a sturgeon easily the size of a human, instead tried to eat her head.

Sturgeons are fresh water fish and do not have teeth, so it wasn't really taking a bite out of her, but rather sucked her head into its mouth before spitting her back out again.

The mermaid, clearly startled and upset, recovered and swam up to the surface to get away.

The mermaid performer, who is a 22 year old from Russia, suffered damage to her face and eye, but was told to go back into the water to finish her performance, according to the Daily Mail.

Sturgeon essentially vacuum along the bottom of a body of water, sucking up nutrients.

In this case, it went for the mermaid's head.

Sturgeon may lack teeth, but can be still dangerous creatures to swim with!
