The Stanley Cup Had One Helluva Summer Vacation

NHL championship cup "vacation" photos are just too good not to see.

One tradition in the National Hockey League (NHL) is that each player from the championship team gets the Stanley Cup for at least one day to do whatever they want with it.

While an outsider to the tradition might wonder what a person would want to do with a giant silver cup weighing 15.5 kilograms (about 34 pounds), this year's winning team, the Capitals, had no shortage of ideas.

According to the Washington Post, players took the Cup everywhere with them since their win in Las Vegas two months ago. Over the course of the summer, its been carted to concerts, festivals, parties, and clubs.
