Sharon Stone Confirms Brother's Death Months After His Infant Son's Sudden Death In Heartbreaking Video

The 'Basic Instinct' star confirmed that her younger brother Patrick Stone, whose infant son River died of organ failure in August of 2021, died of of a heart attack over the weekend.

Sharon Stone took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news of her brother's passing.

The Basic Instinct star tearfully confirmed that her brother Patrick Stone died after suffering cardiac arrest over the weekend at the age of 57. She also confirmed that Patrick was the father of her nephew and godson River who suddenly died of organ failure in August 2021 at 11 months old.


As tears rolled down her face, Stone said in the video:

"This message is to confirm that, yes, we did lose my brother, Patrick Joseph Stone, to a heart attack yesterday. Yes, he is the man who was the father to River, who we lost...at 11 months old."

She continued:

"He is survived by his wife Tasha and his son Hunter and his daughter Kaylee."

Stone emotionally thanked friends and fans for their support during such a difficult time:

"Like any family, we thank you for your love and support in this time of immeasurable grief, and we appreciate all of your condolences."
"Yes we've had a tremendous amount of loss in these last couple of years, as so many of you also have, and we do greatly understand that the losses are ours here on Earth."

She finished:

"I thank you very much for the love and support that you're showing us. We just ask you to continue to be kind. Thank you."

She captioned her post:

"Godspeed Patrick Joseph Stone. 💔"

Stone had previously shared a video of her late nephew, River, after his sudden death in 2021.

In a separate post, Stone shared photos of her brother.

The caption read:

"RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone. 🕊️"

TMZ reported that Patrick's wife Tasha shared the news with friends on social media.

"My heart feels like it's been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River... I don't know what else to say, he was my world."
"I'm not sure what life is supposed to look like without my husband by my side and quite honestly I don't want to, but I will of course. I just hope that you always stay by my side watching over Hunter, Kaylee and I."

She finished:

"Until we meet again I will forever hold you and our wonderful (and some not so wonderful but just as important) memories close to my heart and will visit those memories always."
"I love you honey babe. My wish through all of this is that now at least River has his daddy with him and I hope the two of you are having the best time."

Our sincerest condolences to the Stone family—may Patrick rest in peace.
