Fans trolled Pat Sajak for having the shortest retirement ever after ABC announced his new prime time hosting gig in the fall.

The end of an era came last month when iconic Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak announced his retirement after 43 years at the helm.

Well, that was then and this is now. Sajak is back, baby! He'll be hosting Celebrity Wheel of Fortune this fall.

ABC announced its fall lineup this week, and on it was an unexpected slot: Sajak's return to the Wheel of Fortune stage on October 7.

Of course, the internet is having quite a good time trolling Sajak for what they're calling the shortest retirement ever.

It's hard not to feel like they have a point—Sajak's final Wheel of Fortune episode JUST aired on June 7, and new host Ryan Seacrest is already slated to begin helming the show in September.

Seacrest even posted a heartfelt tribute to Sajak on Instagram after he took his final bow at the show.

Back already after just a month? Yeah, that's a pretty abrupt shift! And on social media, people couldn't help but laugh.

After all, it's pretty hard to miss Sajak if he... you know, doesn't actually leave.

Of course there were lots of comparisons to NFL star Tom Brady, who famously retired, then unretired, then retired again between 2022 and 2023.

And the jokes just kept coming.

Well, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune IS technically a different show, and he never retired from that one. But if this means we have to do a whole other round of heartfelt social media retirement celebrations, that's where we should draw the line!

A Photo Of Zohran Mamdani With His Bare Legs Exposed Is Going Viral—And The Jokes Are Too Good

Whether they're up to date on North American politics or not, one thing that most people know about New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani is that the man doesn't seem to go anywhere without a suit on, or at least anywhere he might be photographed.

Even at the recent Knicks playoff games, he appeared in a full suit, taking off only his jacket and replacing it with a jersey layered over his shirt and tie! And if his suit is some sort of good luck charm, it certainly worked for the Knicks.
