Nick Cannon Dragged After Offering His 11 Kids The 'Opportunity To Connect' With Him On Father's Day

The comedian has fans shaking their heads after he told 'People' magazine how he was giving his 11 kids the chance to be with him and 'give me gifts and all that type of stuff' on Father's Day instead of resting.

Comedian Nick Cannon made the internet scoff after he gave his 11 kids, whom he had with six women, the "opportunity to connect" with him for the upcoming Father's Day weekend.

The Masked Singer host told People magazine he was looking forward to spending time with his kids and being showered with gifts for the occasion.


"It's definitely one of those days where I got be on my Ps and Qs the entire day," he told the magazine and continued:

“It’s supposed to be a day where I get to rest, but I want to give all my kids the opportunity to connect and give me gifts and all that type of stuff.

The 43-year-old added:

“It’s a fun day, and I appreciate all the love that I get on that day.”

Cannon was scrutinized for framing the time for his children to bond with him as a privilege.






Cannon has fathered 12 children.

They include fraternal twins Morocco and Monroe, whom he shares with singer/songwriter Mariah Carey; two sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon and daughter Powerful Queen with model Brittany Bell; twin sons Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love with real estate agent Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with model LaNisha Cole.

He and model Alyssa Scott have two kids, a son, Zen, who died of brain cancer at five months old, and a daughter, Halo Marie Cannon.

As for what he has in store for his brood, Cannon, who will be working on Father's Day filming The Masked Singer, said that "probably a lot of kids would be on set" and the day will be "all about arts and crafts gifts."

"I'm getting the macaroni necklaces, the construction paper card, all of that stuff, which I love," he said, adding:

"My offices are filled with great gifts that my kids have created and conjured up."

He told the outlet that as a father to so many kids ranging from ages 17 months to 13 years old:

"I'm never overwhelmed, because overwhelmed means like almost when you can't handle it."
"But I'm definitely overly energetic when it comes to all the energy that comes from my kids. I feel that daily. They drive me to thrive."
