TikToker Mario Tims, who discovered neighbors were using his electricity while building their new home next door, was praised for his calm handling of the incident.

A man on TikTok was shocked to find his neighbors had been using his electricity to build their new house.

Yeah, that's not exactly the same as borrowing a cup of sugar.

TikToker Mario Tims (@originaltimes4real) first brought up the issue in a 21-second video asking viewers:

"On a scale from one to 10, how mad would you be?"

The video follows a power chord trail from his house to his neighbor's where some countertops were being installed.

In case you were wondering, Tims was at a solid 6.5.

After several viewers expressed that Tims should take action, he posted an update with additional information.

Fortunately for Tims, the builders constructing the house next door were the same who built his own house, so he knew how to reach them.

But when he contacted them, the builder had no idea why the contractors were using Tims' power as they should have been using their own source of energy.

Tims found the independent source of energy and displayed it in his video. The source seemed ready for use, but for some reason, the workers decided to use the TikToker's power instead.

The company responsible for the contractors apologized and urged him to contact the power company to get a quote for any energy expenditures outside of his usual usage. The power company, however, said that Tims was actually using less energy than usual!

In his follow-up, the TikToker also responded to some commenters who suggested he resort to more aggressive ways to handle the situation, telling them:

"You never put hands on someone that's never touched you."

Tims said that he will continue to monitor the situation and will also double-check his electric bill for higher-than-normal usage, but it seems he handled the situation well.

He also claimed that when the new neighbors arrive, he will let them know what happened.

UPDATE: I've been with so many families who experience sickness and death. Some very wise words to live by.

Trump Bizarrely Clashes With Reporter Over Photoshopped 'Tattoo' On Abrego Garcia's Knuckles

President Donald Trump sparked criticism after claiming during an interview with ABC News’ Terry Moran that an edited photo depicting tattoos of wrongly-deported Maryland father Kilmar Abrego Garcia showed that he has an alleged connection to the MS-13 gang.

Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who arrived in the U.S. in 2012, was labeled a threat in 2019 due to an alleged connection to MS-13. He spent months in detention before an immigration judge found he had a credible fear of persecution—not from MS-13, but from a rival group, Barrio 18, which he said had been extorting his family.

Leavitt Lashes Out At Amazon Over 'Hostile' Plan To Display Added Tariff Costs For Products On Website

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt lashed out at Amazon over news that the commerce giant planned to display increased "import charges" on items on their Amazon Haul website, essentially showing to customers the extra money they'd have to shell out as a result of President Donald Trump's tariffs.

Trump has escalated a growing trade war by imposing tariffs of up to 145% on Chinese imports, prompting China to retaliate with its own 125% tariffs on American goods. Additionally, the U.S. has slapped a 10% tax on imports from most other countries, while temporarily suspending higher rates for several nations for 90 days.
