After being told by 'Entertainment Tonight' that Matthew Perry had considered Fox his acting inspiration, Fox opened up about the late 'Friends' star's sizable donation to his foundation.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight on Saturday, Michael J. Fox revealed that Matthew Perry quietly helped out his foundation for Parkinson's research when it was just getting off the ground.

After ET's Cassie DiLaura shared with Fox that he was Perry's acting inspiration, the Back to the Future legend opened up about Perry's unspoken act.

Fox told DiLaura that when the Friends cast started making bank, the late actor donated a large sum of money to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

He said:

"I hope this isn’t indiscreet, but when they first made their big sale and were made millionaires for the rest of their lives, he wrote a big fat check to the foundation."
"We were really early on and trying to find our feet, and it was such a vote of confidence."

Fox shared that the gesture was not only extremely generous but also quite discreet.

"And it wasn’t accompanied by any self-aggrandizing or anything."
"He was just like, 'Take it and do your best.' I loved that."

Former GOP Senator Gets Brutal Wakeup Call After Criticizing People For Playing 'Candy Crush' Instead Of 'Making Babies'

Ben Sasse represented Nebraska in the United States Senate from 2015 to 2023. As a Midwestern moderate, the sometimes controversial Sasse was often critical of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump on social media and on the Senate floor.

At one point, the Nebraska GOP censured him because of his criticism of Trump. But Sasse, like Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins, would still vote with the majority of his party when his vote was needed to back Trump's agenda.
