Metal Gear Survive Beta PC Requirements

After a coldly received beta in late January, Konami decided to give PC gamers the chance to romp through its zombie survival game set in the Metal Gear Solid universe. Metal Gear Survive will enter its second and final beta on Feb. 16, this time opening up access to PC gamers.

The beta, which will also be playable on the PS4 and Xbox One, will let players experience four-player co-op through three missions and two maps. The prior round of testing was a bit more limited, featuring only two maps. Much like the January beta, the second one will give players the chance to toy around with the crafting and base-building mechanics.

According to the game’s listing on Steam, PC gamers will need to meet or exceed the following minimum system requirements:

  • 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 7x64, Windows 8x64, Windows 10x64 (64-bit OS Required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 (3.40 GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) or better (DirectX 11 card Required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 20 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

While the game will play on a set-up meeting those specifications, for optimal performance, Konami recommends a system with the following:

  • 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 7x64, Windows 8x64, Windows 10x64 (64-bit OS Required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 (3.60GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (DirectX 11 graphic card required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 20 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Surround Sound 5.1)

Unfortunately, any progress made within the beta will not carry over to the game’s official release on Feb. 20. Those who do partake in the beta will receive the Fox Hound nameplate, Metal Gear Rex head accessory, and Solid Snake’s bandana. All items are cosmetic and won’t alter stats or gameplay.

Sex and the City ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2004, following Carrie Bradshaw (portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends while the four navigated being strong, independent women in career, fashion, love, friendship, and of course, the big city.

Halle Berry Hilariously Trolls Ex-Husband After His Comments About Her Not Being 'Motherly'

Halle Berry's ex-husband, former MLB star David Justice, recently had a lot to say about why he divorced her back in the '90s—and Berry is giving it right back.

Justice sparked quite a bit of controversy online last week when he told the host of podcast All the Smoke that he divorced Berry because she wasn't "motherly" enough and didn't cook or clean to his liking at the time.
