This New Tour Of The Louvre Inspired By Beyoncé and Jay-Z's 'Apes**t’ Video Is Music To Our Eyes

All art eventually comes back to Beyonce and Jay Z. In case you haven't yet caught it, the music video for Apes**t from the couple's album, "Everything Is Love," takes place in the world's most famous art museum: the Louvre. Not only did the Louvre staff enjoy the video, they loved it so much that they designed a guided tour examining the artwork featured in the video.

In 6 minutes of aural greatness, the music industry's most powerful couple are featured next to masterpieces like "Winged Victory of Samothrace," Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," and Marie Benoist's "Portrait of a Negress," which you can learn all about on the Louvre's 90-minute guided tour, "Jay-Z et Beyonce au Louvre."

The audio tour does have its drawbacks: it's currently only featured in French, and focuses almost entirely on the artwork featured in the music video, not "[deliving] into the meaning of the art in the context of "Apes**t."

Professor James Smalls of the University of Maryland described the video as:

An orchestrated contrast of energetically writhing and animated black physiques set against frozen white forms of the past.

Though the Louvre is hardly desperate for visitors, they're probably hoping to capitalize on the success of the Carters's new song. They created a similar guided tour following the success of Will.I.Am's Smile Mona Lisa.

Louvre director Jean-Luc Martinez commented that the museum is making a conscience effort to be more "accessible to international visitors." Of the 8.1 million people who visit the Louvre yearly, more than 66% are from other nations, and half are under the age of 30.

But we all know the Louvre's true motives for the new guided tour: another visit from the Queen B and her beau. What more could an art museum hope for?

Antifa is a loose network of anti-fascist activists with no central structure, no funding, no membership roster, and no offices or leadership hierarchy for prosecutors to target.

Remote Worker Speaks Out After Job Uses 'Dystopian' Software To Track His Productivity

There are a few vital truths to every office-based job. First, there are going to be "busy work" moments, from meetings to admin tasks to minor side-quest-style projects that add to the company in some small way but otherwise feel like a waste of time.

Second, as human beings, we all need breaks to restore our mental focus, so a person who occasionally scrolls through their personal email, sends a few texts to a friend, or even scrolls Instagram for a few minutes, will likely be more productive than those who attempt to lock in and do nothing but their job throughout their entire shift.
