It's a video that has to be seen to be believed, but once you watch it, the cringe stays with you forever.

The Log Cabin Republican (LCR) organization, a conservative group that paradoxically advocates for LGBTQ rights, released a bizarre video in tribute to former first lady Melania Trump.

The wife of former president Donald Trump was chosen to receive their "Spirit of Lincoln" award.

In case you love yourself too much to watch the above video, the three-minute tribute features a few members of the LCR gushing about Melania and her supposed "support" of the gay community.

Trump's former ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, said:

"From the moment I met first lady Melania Trump at the beginning of the Trump administration, I knew our community had an advocate."

Other members chimed in with more vague praises for the former first lady. They called her smart and fashionable, a friend to the LGBT community and said she had a passion for supporting them.

Most bizarre of all was the claim that the entire gay community loved her.

Despite all these vague praises, what they failed to mention is a single instance of Melania advocating for the gay community. While Melania tried to position herself as a supporter, Trump himself advocated for regressive policies.

Melania never spoke out against Trump's attempts to ban trans people from serving in the military, or allowing federally funded adoption agencies from banning gay couples from adopting. She didn't complain when he sought to deny US citizenship to the children of same-sex parents.

Instead, she tried to defend Trump as someone who is friendly to the gay community and couldn't understand why people would think otherwise.

It'd be funny if it weren't so horrifying.

The LCR have a tenuous history of supporting Donald Trump. During the 2016 election, the board members of the organization voted not to endorse Trump as a candidate, though local chapters held the opposite opinion.

Then, during the 2020 election cycle, some members of the board did endorse Trump for a second term, causing others to resign in protest.

On the same day that LCR President Greg Angelo claimed "preservation of LGBT rights and support for the LGBT community" were important to Trump's platform, the former administration rescinded Obama-era protections for transgender student rights.

Basically, LCR are the worst.

LCR moved their entire award ceremony to Trump's Mar-A-Lago club in Florida, breaking the precedent of holding it in Washington D.C. While the move was likely done to flatter the former president, reports are conflicting as to whether he actually attended the event.

CNN Just Used A Hilarious Poll To Show Just How Unpopular Trump's Ballroom Is—And We're Cackling

After President Donald Trump claimed that his new White House ballroom is "very popular" with the American public, CNN shared a hilariously shady poll that gets to the truth of the matter.

Last year, Trump ordered the demolition of the entire East Wing to make way for a 90,000 square-foot ballroom that will dwarf the size of the White House itself, sparking alarm from historical preservationists and the public alike.

It's well-known across the internet that it takes forever for men to use the restroom. For dads especially, in the time it takes them to poop, when they return to the house, their kids will have aged seven years, and their baby will have learned to walk.

These are jokes, of course, but it's an internet consensus that men spend a really long time on the porcelain throne.

In early 2024, 49-year-old Antonia Eastwood married Ashley Monk after about five months of dating. During the ceremony, Antonia tripped while walking down the aisle.

Antonia and Ashley were both suspicious that she did not trip accidentally and that Ashley's sister, Gemma, actually tripped her. Gemma and Antonia were not close, and the couple also believed that Gemma might be jealous that they were marrying after five months, though she'd been with her childhood sweetheart for 20 years without tying the knot.
