When you think of legislators in Washington who most remind you of Jesus Christ, who do you think of?

It might be a tough question for most of us, but Republican Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert knows her answer: It's herself.

The extremely far-right representative who in just one short year has made a career out of insulting, threatening and endangering the lives of her colleagues--not to mention attacking constituents--recently defended her vitriol by comparing it to the way "our Lord Jesus" did things.

Boebert's comments came during an interview on far-right propaganda network Newsmax with former Republican Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. See the moment below.

In the interview, Boebert suggests her combative nature is just God working through her. She told Huckabee:

“I believe as a Christian, that frustration we feel on the inside of us sometimes is really just God’s motivation to send us to where we need to be part of the solution."

After praising her as if she were Jesus Christ himself sitting at his desk, Huckabee then asked Boebert what she might say to those who feel she should "tone it down" with, say, the attacks she's leveled at a teenage survivor of the most horrific school shooting in American history, for example.

Boebert responded by essentially claiming she's just trying to be as mean as she seems to believe Jesus was.

“You know, I think people would love if I would tone it down. But, you know, we had our Lord Jesus certainly didn’t tone it down for anyone."

Ohhhkay then.

And because Republicans simply can't help themselves these days, Boebert then moved on to the evils of "cancel culture."

Which she claimed has its origins in the Bible. Because of course.

“And now here we are in another cycle of cancel culture, but this is nothing new. Cancel culture has been around since the beginning of time."
"Cain canceled Abel. We had Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that were thrown into the fiery furnace. King Nebuchadnezzar wanted to cancel them but there stood another in the midst of them and He was the son of God.”
“And then they tried to cancel Jesus but you can’t cancel God!”

Okay first of all, Cain didn't cancel Abel, he literally murdered him. And secondly, whatever happened to that whole "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" Christian thing? That get canceled too?

On Twitter, many people were disgusted by Boebert's comments, as a wave of clapbacks and mockery soon flooded in.

You'll be glad to hear that since her sit-down with Huckabee, Boebert has moved on to calling for an end to federally funded legal aid to refugees. Just as Christ would have done.

Trump Is Weirding Everyone Out With His Bizarre Comments About Whole Milk

President Donald Trump was widely mocked after he made a clarification about "hole" vs. "whole" milk—yes, really—during a press conference about bringing whole milk back to schools.

Trump signed legislation on Wednesday restoring whole milk to school cafeteria menus, a move that reverses a 2012 Obama-era policy that restricted schools participating in the National School Lunch Program to serving only skim or low-fat milk, an effort aimed at curbing childhood obesity.
