Stewart will be back in the hosting chair for 'The Daily Show' on Monday nights through the 2024 election after nearly a decade away.

Jon Stewart is returning to The Daily Show, and fans everywhere are rejoicing.

The show just announced Stewart will make his way back to the hosting chair after nearly a decade away as host...part-time and temporarily...but still!

The former host, who held the position from 1999 to 2015, will host on Mondays ahead of what is almost certain to be the presidential election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, with his first episode slated for February 12.

The Daily Show shared the announcement on their X account to the delight of fans.

The rest of the week will run similarly as it does now, using rotating hosts such as Jordan Klepper, Desi Lydic, Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, and Dulcé Sloan. Stewart will also be involved as executive producer on those nights.

Chris McCarthy, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios president, said in a statement:

"Jon Stewart is the voice of our generation, and we are honored to have him return to Comedy Central’s 'The Daily Show' to help us all make sense of the insanity and division roiling the country as we enter the election season."
“In our age of staggering hypocrisy and performative politics, Jon is the perfect person to puncture the empty rhetoric and provide much-needed clarity with his brilliant wit."

Stewart himself took to X, formerly Twitter, to make the announcement...well, sort of.

He wrote:

“Friends. After much reflection I have decided to enter the transfer portal for my last year of eligibility."
"Excited for the future! 5’7” ish 165 14.8 second 40 #Blessed #NILBABY #TDSnation #LFGM”

Needless to say, The Daily Show viewers are absolutely thrilled.

Even former host Trevor Noah shared his excitement.

And others followed suit.

Welcome back, Jon. We have a feeling you'll have plenty of content to pick from...

Trump Official Dragged For Praising Trump With Ridiculous Description Of His 'Leadership' On Fox News

U.S. Chief of Protocol Monica Crowley was widely mocked for the fawning praise she heaped on President Donald Trump during a Fox News interview this week, telling network personality Jesse Watters that Trump's "muscular leadership" is a welcome change from the previous "stupid era of toxic masculinity."

Watters contrasted Trump’s partisan speech to the Navy this week with former Vice President Kamala Harris’ ongoing book tour.

U.S. Scientist Wins Nobel Prize in Odd Way!

In a world where a U.S. president is still openly thirsting for a Nobel Peace Prize, it’s refreshing to know the honor can still go to someone who wasn’t campaigning for it on Truth Social.

Immunologist Fred Ramsdell found out he’d won the 2025 Nobel Prize in Medicine in the most delightfully rugged way possibl: while camping off the grid in Montana. Ramsdell was parked at a campground with his wife, Laura O’Neill, after several days hiking the Rockies, when she suddenly screamed.

Karoline Leavitt Schooled After Spouting Out Bonkers 'MAGA Math' About Drug Prices

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was widely mocked after she repeated President Donald Trump's impossible claims that he got pharmaceutical companies to lower their drug prices by more than 100%, saying they are "going to be lowered by “200, 300, 100%.”

Even if Trump’s policy, which is dependent on cooperation from reluctant pharmaceutical companies and speculative future regulatory moves, were to result in a sharp drop in drug prices, it’s mathematically impossible to cut prices by 500% to 1,500%.

UK Conservatives Roasted After Chocolate Bar Criticizing Liberals Contains Epic Typo

It's the Reform UK Party that is most closely associated with MAGA Republican President Donald Trump, but some members of the Conservative Party—a.k.a. the Tories—have embraced Trump as well, or spouted similar rhetoric.

Now the Tories are borrowing something else from Trump: his spelling prowess.

Dolly Parton's Sister Clears The Air After Post Asking For Prayers For Dolly Sparks Concern

We've all seen those "VagueBook" posts where someone asks for prayers for a loved one, leaving us to wonder how serious the issue is, what they need prayers for, and most importantly, whether or not they will get better.
