Jenna Karvunidis, the woman who famously started the trend of gender reveal parties, has in recent years engaged with the dialogue of how problematic gender reveal parties can actually be.

After the discovery that a gender reveal party caused the massive California wildfires that endangered thousands of families, Karvunidis is in no uncertain words telling folks that they have taken their proclivity for gender pyrotechnics way too far.

In a Facebook post, Karvunidis called the pyrotechnic device that caused the fire to break out of control a display of "toxic masculinity."

"Stop it. Stop having these stupid parties."
"For the love of God, stop burning things down to tell everyone about your kid's penis."
"No one cares but you. "

Karvunidis is not new to speaking out against gender reveal parties.

Despite being credited as the "inventor"—after Karvunidis' child came out as gender non-conforming she began engaging in the dialogue of why these parties are problematic.

Karvunidis also posted a shortened version of her feelings about the gender reveal party causing a major California wildfire to Twitter.

And the fire in California continues to rage.

Also, this is the second time in three years a gender reveal party has caused a major wildfire.

In 2017, an off-duty border patrol agent in Arizona threw a gender reveal party that ignited a 47,000 acre wildfire—after the expectant father packed a target with Tannerite, a highly explosive substance and then shot it with a rifle hoping to make it explode either pink or blue.

With the evidence building up that grand displays of gender end in wildfire, perhaps there is something to Karvunidis' plea.

Stop having these parties.
