Newly-Elected Gay Congressman Hilariously Trolls MTG With Iconic Viral Video

Congressman-Elect Robert Garcia went viral with his plans for walking past Marjorie Taylor Greene at orientation.

Robert Garcia—a newly elected gay lawmaker who successfully ran to represent California's 42nd District in the House of Representatives—trolled Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene with a viral video demonstrating how he intends to walk past her at orientation.

Garcia posted a now-viral video of television personality Nene Leakes sashaying while wearing a pair of high heels.

He captioned the video with the following message:

"As a reminder this will be me when I walk by Marjorie Taylor Greene in the Capitol next week at orientation."

You can see Garcia's post—and the video—below.

Garcia is the current mayor of Long Beach, California. His term ends next month, after which he will take on his new role as Representative.

He is both the city's youngest and first elected openly LGBTQ+ mayor and several years ago married his longtime boyfriend, California State University, Long Beach professor Matthew Mendez.

His post was his own way of trolling one of the most vocally homophobic members of Congress and Twitter users loved every minute.

Greene is one of the more vocally anti-LGBTQ+ members of Congress.

In March, she was criticized after she launched into an attack against Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten, demanding they “stay out of our girls' bathrooms" and suggested that they are both sexual predators. She has attacked him numerous times since.

Greene also has a history of dehumanizing transgender people.

She made headlines last year after she raised the anti-trans flag outside her office, which happens to sit directly across from the office of Representative Marie Newman, an Illinois Democrat. Earlier, Newman had raised a trans flag to support her transgender daughter following a contentious debate about the Equality Act, which Greene opposed.

Greene's behavior drew bipartisan criticism, including from Republicans who'd earlier voted to strip her of her committee assignments after she made anti-Semitic remarks and promoted violence against Democrats.

She recently garnered significant criticism after she melted down after someone vandalized an anti-transgender sign she displays outside her office, referring to the culprits as "crazy and deranged."

Little Girl Hilariously Figures Out How To Get Around Mom's 'No Bad Words' Rule—And We Gotta Respect It

We've all heard the advice that when you want to start a new habit, you have to give yourself time for that habit to "stick," and you also shouldn't try to take on too many new habits at once.

While the easy answer to that logic is that it would be too much change at once and too much "new" to remember, it also could take the fun out of the new practice.

Giant AI-Generated Christmas Mural Removed After People Notice Some Truly Unhinged Details

Though many of us are worried about the prevalence of AI and its potential to take away the jobs of professional writers, artists, and designers, one truly haunted Christmas mural proves that AI is not ready to take on the responsibility just yet.

Ample theories are available for how this unhinged mural came to be, but a favorite is that an upper executive didn't want to approve an art budget for this year's mural and suggested AI instead, so a designer planned the worst option possible. Or someone turned immediately to AI, barely checked their work, and just hit the "approve" button.

Brooke Shields Has Hilarious Reaction After She's Given Awkwardly Short Chair On 'Today' Show

People who have not performed in front of a live audience might assume that adequate rehearsal time and production planning ensure things will go smoothly.

But seasoned performers will tell you that mistakes happen, no matter how well-rehearsed or fine-tuned the project is. When the mistake is obvious enough that the audience becomes aware of it, the best thing to do is laugh it off or incorporate the mistake into the program as much as possible to keep the show going.
