Woman Discovers Her Fiancé Is Cheating On Her Thanks To Her 'Blocked' List On Instagram

A woman claimed she discovered her fiancé was having some fun on the side when she checked her list of blocked accounts on her Instagram page.

Instagram's blocking feature is designed to protect users from seeing content and accounts they don't wish to see.

However, TikToker Gabrielle Marcellus didn't recall using the security feature when her list suggested she had blocked a woman she never heard of.

After some digging, Marcellus found out she and this woman had a mutual connection: her boyfriend.

"I'll never forget the day in 2019 when something told me to check my blocked list on Instagram," she said in a 2019 post on TikTok.

"What did I find? A random girl," she said in the video, adding, "What did we have in common?... My boyfriend!"

The video concluded with her taking a guess as to who the culprit was that secretly made changes to her Instagram settings.

"Now I didn't block her, so you can guess who did…"

When people wondered how her boyfriend managed to get her password, one user said it's not uncommon for significant others to know each others' passwords.

Another clarified, "Her boyfriend took HER phone and blocked his side piece from HER phone."

Marcellus also explained in the thread the reason why he invaded her account was that she was posting pictures of them and didn't want the other woman to know.

"He also put my account on private," she said.

Her clip received 2.4 million views and left viewers wanting more to the story.

In a follow-up clip, Marcellus – who is American – said she didn't break up with him until November 2020.

In 2019, she had traveled to England from the U.S. to spend six weeks with him, and it wasn't until four days before returning to the States when she learned of his infidelity.

When she confronted him, he was caught off guard and defaulted to saying the other woman was "crazy."

"Don't we love a 'crazy girl' story?" she said.

He apparently went on explaining to her how this other woman was "obsessed with him" and was trying to break up the relationship between him and Marcellus.

"So in order to protect me, and protect him, he had to block her," she said mockingly.

In response, one British TikToker named called Richard Neville responded:

"On behalf of the rest of us, I am so sorry."

While breakups are hard, it looks like she dodged a bullet with this one by not making a trip to the altar together.
