Pro-Trump Congressman Fires Back at Heckler Who Still Insists Election Was 'Stolen' from Trump

Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw of Texas has been a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, but this perception changed on January 6 when the joint session of Congress certified then-President-elect Joe Biden's electoral college victory.

Though he initially supported baseless lawsuits amplifying Trump's lies against the election results, Crenshaw made clear before the certification that he wouldn't be joining the majority of his fellow House Republicans in voting to throw out the electoral college votes in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and a host of other swing states Trump lost. This resolve only deepened after a mob of pro-Trump extremists stormed the United States Capitol to stop the certification.

In Trump world, only unconditional loyalty is acceptable, and Crenshaw's "No" votes have made him an enemy to an unignorable faction of the GOP base, despite his prior support for the former President's policies.

That fact was on full display during a recent exchange between Crenshaw and a Trump supporter under the delusion the election was stolen.

Watch below.

Crenshaw told the supporter:

"Don't kid yourself into believing [election fraud]'s why we lost. It's not. It's not. I'll tell you openly."

The supporter told Crenshaw, "you're wrong," before insisting—like so many Republican media personalities before him—that he had "proof" of widespread election fraud and insisted the state of Arizona and others would flip back in favor of Trump.

Crenshaw responded:

"It won't, and you've gotta flip all five states. ... This is something you've gotta accept. Is there a lot of voter fraud? Yeah, there probably is. [There isn't] Enough that Trump won? No, absolutely not. Absolutely not. Five different states? Hundreds of thousands of votes? You're kidding yourself."

The fiery exchange generated a bevy of commentary on social media.

Some soon reminded Crenshaw of his and his party's own embrace of Trump's lies that helped fuel the election delusion.

Like all of his fellow representatives, Crenshaw is up for reelection in 2022.

AOC Saves The Day By Giving Bronx Middle School Group A Tour Of The Capitol Amid Shutdown

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had people cheering after she stepped in to act as tour guide after a group of middle schoolers from the Bronx pulled up to the Capitol hours after the U.S. government officially shut down.

The federal government shut down early Wednesday after the White House and Congress failed to reach an agreement on federal spending. While Senate Democrats are in the minority, they hold enough seats to filibuster and are insisting that Republicans agree to extend federal subsidies for people insured under the Affordable Care Act.

GOP Lawmaker Sparks Outrage After Calling For Dem Rep. To Be Executed For Urging People To Protest Trump

On Wednesday, September 25, an Arizona MAGA Republican state Representative publicly called for the execution of Washington Democratic Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal because she urged anyone displeased with MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's job performance to exercise their First Amendment right to free speech and to protest.

Apparently, urging citizens to make their voices heard was a step too far for Arizona state GOP Representative John Gillette, who responded to a clip edited out of a longer video by right-wing account The Patriot Oasis (TPO). A quick scan through Gillette's X account media posts will reveal his political leanings.

Liberal TikToker Mortified After Discovering That Her Therapist Is Hardcore MAGA

There used to be a time where politics did not have to come into every room or be a part of every conversation. But in a world with President Trump and MAGA, it's not as simple as being Red, Blue, or Green anymore.

Now, the sociopolitical climate is dangerous for many people and still very stress-inducing for others. It's important to surround ourselves with people who make us feel safe and seen—and unfortunately, that might mean cutting out people who have "different beliefs" than we do.
