Pregnant TikToker's Assigned Gender Reveal Party Goes Viral After She Forgot Her Boyfriend Is Color Blind

TikToker Jenna Cowan captured the hilarious and surprisingly sweet moment on video.

Assigned gender reveal parties went from a fun and simple celebration to the bane of some people's existence.

From terrible injuries to wildfires to actual deaths, there has been an endless supply of mistakes made just to reveal the genitals detected on an ultrasound.

Fortunately for one couple in Essex, England their reveal fail was of a much more wholesome nature.

While pregnant and getting excited about having a baby, Jen of @jennacowann on TikTok, shared the reveal that went viral. Not for injuries or property destruction but for smiles... and a little bit of confusion.

You see, in all the excitement, Jen completely spaced out on the fact her boyfriend is colorblind, which affects one in every twelve men.

So when her boyfriend pulled the tab to release the paper confetti from a popper, Jen was confused when her boyfriend, all smiles, pointed and asked:

"What is it?"

Jen then gestured at the bright pink confetti drifting back down to the floor, confused for a moment about why her boyfriend wasn't getting it.

But Jen then realized what had happened, which she placed in a text overlay in the video.

"Not me forgetting my boyfriend is colorblind during our gender reveal!"

She then simply captioned the video:

"Oops."

Some were happy to see Jen's boyfriend was more preoccupied with becoming a father.

Others were able to laugh along with the couple and shared their own color-blindness stories.

Jen later shared the couple had celebrated their future child.

"He was completely fine with it! He just wanted to know whether it was a girl or boy."
"He is very laid-back and easy-going, so something like that didn't bother him at all."
"We were convinced it was a boy, so to find out that it was going to be a girl was a complete shock, but we are super excited to become parents."

It was clear to viewers all over the world the future father was going to be happy no matter what the results had been, but it's still nice to hear the couple was happy with the unexpected.

And at least this is one assigned gender reveal party we can file under "success" instead of "fail," even with the color confusion.

Trump Administration Dragged After U.S. Military Shoots Down One Of Our Own Drones Over Texas

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has long emphasized the "warrior ethos" he expects from the U.S. military but now his leadership (to say nothing of the Trump administration as a whole) is facing criticism after military personnel shot down a drone operated by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) on Thursday in Texas in yet another display of incompetence.

Lawmakers said that the military used a laser to down a CBP drone at Fort Hancock, leading the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to expand flight restrictions near El Paso, Texas. The reason for the laser use remains unclear, but it was the second such deployment in the area in two weeks, despite rules requiring coordination with aviation regulators.

U.S. Hockey Star Slams White House For Sharing AI-Doctored Video Of Him Insulting Canadians

There's a saying about laying down with dogs. Or, you're known by the company you keep. NHL player and Team USA member Brady Tkachuk is learning that lesson.

The Tkachuk brothers, Brady—who plays professional hockey for the Ottawa Senators based in the capital city in the province of Ontario, Canada—and Matthew—who plays for the Florida Panthers based in the metro Miami area—had already drawn ire online for being proud supporters of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump during the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics even before the disastrous locker room celebration with FBI Director Kash Patel after their gold medal win.
