And now for something to file away in your "Reminders there's still good in the world" folder!

For all their faults and foibles, sometimes we truly are lucky to live in a time when everyone has a camera in their pocket. Because every now and then, someone catches someone else in the act of something wonderful.

And a recent afternoon at a Chick-Fil-A in Corpus Christi, Texas was one of those times!

Ashley Guzman, a 19-year-old employee at the Chick-Fil-A, was nearing the end of her shift after a busy lunch rush, when a regular customer, Arturo Ramirez, came in. Ramirez is disabled and in a wheelchair, and the Chick-Fil-A employees always help him out when he comes in.

But this particular day, Guzman went above and beyond simply assisting Mr. Ramirez with his purchase.

"[U]sually, we help him around and get his food," Guzman told Corpus Christi's KIII TV, "but that day I helped him. I got him his food and I went around and I sat with him."

And as a diner, Jessica Gomez, noticed, Guzman even helped feed Mr. Ramirez his lunch. Gomez was touched by the gesture of kindness and snapped a photo which she posted to her Facebook page, pointing out that Guzman went "above and beyond," even cutting up the man's food for him.

And on social media, people were just as moved as Gomez!

Mr. Ramirez's family is said to be deeply grateful for Guzman's gesture, and Chick-Fil-A Operations Director Melissa Tamez said, "It tells us a lot about her. She has a really good heart."

But for Guzman, it's all in a day's work.

As she told KIII:

"It makes me feel good that I can have a connection with somebody and make their day a little bit better, or give them some positivity, because you don't know what people are going through."

Words to live by!

Trump Reacts To Conspiracy Theorist FEMA Official Who Claims He Once Teleported To A Waffle House

President Donald Trump appeared noticeably confused after CNN asked him about FEMA official Gregg Phillips' bizarre claim that he once teleported to a Waffle House 50 miles away.

Phillips, a former top Texas health official, was appointed in December to lead FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery—a division with more than 1,000 employees—despite a background that raised questions. For instance, before taking the role, he had made unverified claims, including allegations about election fraud.
