The actor shared a photo on Instagram of Mark Bingham, who he portrayed in the film 'United 93,' on the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Cheyenne Jackson shared a poignant tribute honoring Mark Bingham on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The actor portrayed Bingham, a gay rugby player, in the film United 93 which dramatized the events that took place on United Airlines Flight 93 on September 11, 2001.

Bingham, along with fellow passengers and crew members, were able to take down the terrorists who hijacked the plane originally en route from Newark, New Jersey, to San Francisco.

United 93 went down in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and was the only hijacked plane that failed to reach the terrorists' target that day.

Jackson shared a photo of the hero on Monday with the accompanying caption:

"Thinking of you today Mark Bingham."
"It was a privilege portraying you in the film #United93 and I honor your memory as well as your mother Alice Hoagland’s and all of the souls lost that day."
"#NeverForget"

Viewers of Jackson's post thanked the actor for remembering the hero, and acknowledged Bingham's bravery as well.

Following Bingham's death, his mother, Alice Hoagland, rallied to preserve a gay rugby movement her son had helped set in motion just before 9/11.

The world's largest gay rugby tournament, honorably renamed the Bingham Cup, debuted in San Francisco in 2002.

Hoagland died in December 2020 at 71 years of age.

A lovely tribute to both.

Marco Rubio Hit With Instant Video Factcheck After Claiming To Congress That He's 'Never Seen' Trump 'Fall Asleep'

California Democratic Representative Ted Lieu caught Secretary of State Marco Rubio in a blatant lie and presented video evidence after Rubio testified to Congress that he'd "never seen" President Donald Trump "fall asleep" during a Cabinet meeting.

Trump has repeatedly had to cover for always falling asleep during meetings and events, and regularly rages against anyone who points out obvious signs of age-related decline. Last month, a White House account claimed he was simply "blinking" after Trump appeared to fall asleep during an event on maternal health in the Oval Office.
