After the Met Gala, a video clip started circulating purporting to show Billie Eilish throwing shade at Cardi B.

However, the issue was quickly cleared up by the two entertainers.

Tuesday, May 3, the clip was shared showing Cardi B at a Met Gala afterparty.

In the video Cardi told attendees to have fun, drink, and suggestively held her finger to her nose.

The video then shows Eilish seemingly telling a friend:

“She’s so weird.”

Initially there was no additional context for the clip, leading some to think Eilish was talking about Cardi.

However, the two quickly let people know that wasn’t the case. Cardi shared via her Instagram an exchange between her and Eilish clearing up the whole mess.

Cardi messaged Eilish about the video, where Eilish clarified what had happened.

The two left voice clips for each other

“Oh my God, I was so worried that you were going to see that. I was f***ing calling the people around you weird because everybody was coming up to you and shoving their phones into your a**! And I was like, ‘Just look at her with your eyes!’”

Cardi insisted:

“I hate the [internet]”

She also questioned how the internet could turn a “drama-free” party into a “mess”.

And people quickly understood the situation and supported the two.

By contrast, Cardi’s actual perpetual rival, Nicki Minaj threw some shade at a reporter who supposedly leaked her surprise appearance. She joked that she would slap him, and her fans online loved the interaction.
