British Dad Loses It After Daughter Goes On Hilarious Rant About How Americans Mock Their Speech

TikToker @tylertoosmall couldn't help but wonder what she was 'waffling on about.'

While everyone technically has an accent based on the region in which they live, there are definitely some accents that are more popular among the masses than others.

That means there are going to be stereotypes, jokes, and misconceptions about those accents, too, unfortunately.

And it's clear that the daughter of Tyler, @tylertoosmall on TikTok, had heard just about enough of the misconceptions about British accents, specifically from Americans.

While waiting in the car for Tyler's wife to return, Tyler began recording a video in which he asked his daughter to continue a rant she'd been saying to him, and the results are hilarious.

Tyler asked his daughter in the video:

"What are you waffling on about?"

His daughter ranted:

"I just hate it that Americans just say that British people say, 'bottle of water,' that British people say, 'Harry Potter,' that British people say that, and British people do this."
"Because we have lots to say about them, you know? Have you heard the way they talk? 'Trash' and 'candy' and stuff like that. It's just horrible."

You can watch the video here:

The daughter's rant continued into another video, where instead of ranting, she imitated what she believed to be a Texan accent.

When Tyler asked what she was doing, she replied:

"Taking out the trash, y'all."

Tyler's daughter quickly corrected herself to say "bins" instead of trash when Tyler confronted her about it. Her pronunciation of "y'all" was more so "yah" with an L-sound added at the end, as well.

Tyler laughed and said:

"You're taking this American thing too far."

Every country and region has its own ways of describing items, emotions, locations, and more. Even if they're technically speaking the same language, differences in slang terms and accents will have an impact.

Though we know this, it's still entertaining to explore the differences and potentially have a good laugh.
