Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert attacked Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday, demanding that she be impeached for not invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Joe Biden from office over his handling of the Afghanistan war.

Boebert, who has made Afghanistan one of her major talking points these last few weeks, made the remarks during a Freedom Caucus press conference.

Boebert said:

"The blame starts at the top with Biden and his handpicked vice president who bragged that she was right there making the same bad decisions."
"And if not for her own dereliction of duty, she should be impeached for not demanding we invoke the 25th Amendment."

Boebert's claim refers to remarks Harris made in April about being the "last person in the room" with President Biden when he made the decision to pull all United States troops out of Afghanistan.

She continued attacking the President and Vice President, this time implying that they want to turn the United States into a "socialist nation":

"Impeach Biden, impeach Kamala Harris and throw in the Secretary of State [Antony Blinken]. I came here [to Congress] to make sure my boys never lived in a socialist nation."
"And right now, today, I have to second guess who would actually lead them if they took a stand to serve and join our military."

And she concluded by tossing in a conspiracy theory about Biden's mental fitness:

" Woke doesn't work! Cutting and running doesn't work! Being asleep or senile or sucking on applesauce obviously doesn't work!"

Boebert does not appear to know how the 25th Amendment works.

The 25th Amendment formally outlines the transition of power if the President is unable or unfit to serve.

It is up to the Vice President and a majority of the sitting Cabinet members to vote accordingly if they feel the President cannot fulfill their duties.

The 25th Amendment has never been invoked.

A national conversation about its use erupted last year, after former President Donald Trump became seriously ill with Covid-19 and had to be hospitalized.

Boebert was harshly criticized by many who wondered what in the world she is going on about.

Boebert's rhetoric on Afghanistan has not matched her actual policymaking.

Although she has spent a lot of time criticizing Biden over the Afghanistan withdrawal since the Taliban seized power, her voting record speaks for itself.

In July, Boebert was among the lawmakers who voted against H.R. 3985, the Averting Loss of Life and Injury by Expediting SIVs Act of 2021.

The bill increases the number of immigration visas available to Afghan citizens who have helped U.S. soldiers during the 20-year conflict.

It is likely Boebert's comments about impeaching Vice President Harris are meant as a distraction from her very real legal issues.

Earlier this week, the House Select Committee said it will ask telecommunications companies to preserve the phone records of lawmakers who participated in the "Stop the Steal" rally ahead of the January 6 Capitol riot.

Boebert is one of several Republicans whose phone records have come under scrutiny.

Gavin Newsom Just Epically Trolled Kristi Noem With A Fake 'Dog Obedience School' Ad

California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom focused his trolling of the administration of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump on Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, creating a fake dog obedience school ad for the self-professed puppy killer.

In her 2024 memoir, No Going Back: The Truth on What's Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward, Noem bragged about shooting and killing her 14-month-old Wire-haired Pointer puppy named Cricket after she failed to train it properly and without trying to rehome the dog to a competent trainer or a hunting dog rescue.

Trump Gives Pious Reminder That The Bible Says To Care For 'Vulnerable Children'—And The Hypocrisy Is Off The Charts

President Donald Trump was called out for hypocrisy after he said during the signing of an executive order expanding resources for the foster care system that the Bible instructs society to care for "vulnerable children and orphans"—only for people to point out that he had denied Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to hungry children just days before.

The loss of SNAP is a result of the Trump administration's failure to spend contingency funds to feed people on the program, a decision that is resulting in a nationwide hunger crisis impacting millions of families.

Conservatives Slam Trump After His Attack On GOP Rep's Marriage Is A Low Blow Even For Him

President Donald Trump has been married three times, but his hypocrisy escaped him entirely when he attacked Kentucky Republican Representative Thomas Massie for getting remarried last month following the death of his first wife in 2024—prompting his own party to call him out for going too far.

Last week, Massie announced he'd married his wife, Carolyn Grace Moffa, in late October. His first wife and "high school sweetheart," Rhonda Howard Massie, died in June 2024.

Video Of Pete Hegseth Screwing 'Department Of War' Sign Onto Building Gets Brutally Mocked

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was widely mocked after the Department of Defense—or shall we say the self-proclaimed "Department of War"—debuted its new plaque by publishing a video showing Hegseth tightening the screws on the new plaque with the words "Department of War" at the Defense Department's River Entrance.

The Pentagon’s rapid response account shared the clip on X along with the following caption:

People Explain The Dumbest Reasons They Had To Call 911

We've all made mistakes from time to time, and some of them have probably been pretty cringy and stupid.

But most of us can take comfort in the fact that we didn't do something so stupid that we had to call 9-1-1 to get us out of trouble.
