Videos of Blue Ivy Carter went viral after her earring got stuck in mom Beyoncé's hair during a Cowboy Carter Tour show in Chicago.

Rising entertainer and fan-appointed tour manager Blue Ivy Carter avoided an earring malfunction during her mother’s performance at the second leg of the Cowboy Carter Tour.

The multitalented 13-year-old is a featured dancer on Beyoncé’s tenth concert tour, which stopped for three sold-out nights in Chicago’s Soldier Field from May 15–18.

The concert tour is already making history with a record-setting gross of $55.7 million, making BeyoncĂ© Knowles-Carter one of the all-time highest-grossing single-venue entertainers alongside U2 and Harry Styles. The only female artist on the list, Beyoncé’s tour is ranked number five, according to Billboard.

During her mother’s performance of “Protector,” Blue Ivy’s younger sister, Rumi Carter, made a special appearance in the dreamy tribute song to Beyoncé’s children. Rumi’s voice is also featured at the top of the track as she follows her sister’s footsteps in joining their mother on stage.

Grinning from ear to ear, Rumi embraced her mother, who wore a grey blazer ensemble, while Blue Ivy, dressed in gold, performed the choreography behind them. As she bowed her head, Blue Ivy’s eyes widened as one of her gold hoop earrings caught on her mother’s hair.

Professionally and discreetly, Blue Ivy expertly extracted the earring from her ear in the viral moment below:

You go, Miss Blue Ivy!

Looking back and without missing a beat, Beyonce briefly acknowledged the almost mishap as Blue Ivy motioned to the earring in her left hand.

Blue Ivy has been impressing her “Ivy League” fans with her growth and expertise after she first performed in The Renaissance World Tour in May 2023 to her own dance segments throughout the Cowboy Carter Tour.

In a rare interview in September 2024 with GQ magazine, Beyoncé revealed how much work and effort the teenager put in.

Her mother revealed:

"Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.”

Blue Ivy’s iconic dance evolution can be seen in the video below:

Like mother, like daughter—both entertainers have experienced "Deja Vu" moments with earrings and hair choreography. While performing “Haunted” during a 2016 Tidal X:1015 concert at New York City’s Barclays Center, Beyoncé’s super-long ponytail got caught in her own earring before accidentally ripping it out of her ear.

The mom of three's ear-splitting moment can be seen below:

Like a boss, the "Texas Hold ‘Em" singer continued to perform despite her ear bleeding, and nine years later, the “show must go on” work ethic continues with the mother-daughter duo.

Seeing the Cowboy Carter Tour clip, Beyhive and Blue Ivy fans reacted to the subtle moment:

More viral concert moments are sure to come as Beyoncé’s The Cowboy Carter & The Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour stop at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium before heading to the UK.

And we can’t wait to see what Miss Blue Ivy and her “assistant manager” Rumi have in store in future concerts
and maybe a singing cameo on their mother’s rumored Act III album. Keeping our fingers crossed, Beyhive!

Marvel Just Confirmed That Chris Evans Is Returning For 'Avengers: Doomsday'—And Fans Have Mixed Feelings

Folks, once again, continuity is more of a suggestion than a rule in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel has officially confirmed that Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, and the internet has responded exactly how you’d expect: screaming, celebrating, arguing, and a very justified side-eye toward how Sam Wilson keeps getting treated.

The confirmation comes via a teaser now playing exclusively in theaters ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash. There is no official online release, despite leaks circulating. If you didn’t catch it on the big screen, Marvel’s response is essentially: sorry, guess you had to be there.
