Legendary comedian, singer, actor, and dancer Dick Van Dyke shared part of his fitness routine on his official Instagram account of Friday.
With Moonspatz "Keep Stretching" as accompaniment, Van Dyke was shown on an inversion table—a device that secures a person's ankles then tilts them backward to hang either at an angle or completely upside down, temporarily elongating the back and reversing the pressure exerted on the spine and back muscles while standing or sitting.
People use them for that purpose or to work on abdominal muscles by doing sit-ups or ab curls while on the device.
The short clip, posted August 28, was captioned:
"#DVD100 1/2 workout inversion table #keepmoving"
In a January 2025 appearance on Ted Danson’s podcast Where Everybody Knows Your Name, Van Dyke shared that he hits the gym three times every week as well as doing stretching, sit-ups and yoga.
The veteran performer told Danson:
"Somebody said, 'To what do you attribute your age and physical condition?' I’ve always exercised three days a week"
"[My wife Arlene Silver and I] go to the gym still, and I think that’s why I’m not stove up like my equals."
People loved seeing the legend known as "DVD" to some of his friends and fans.

Van Dyke will celebrate his 101st birthday on December 13.
Over his almost 80 year career—his first credit is from 1947—Van Dyke has appeared in 18 films, with Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Mary Poppins (1964) and Mary Poppins Returns (2018), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), and Night at the Museum (2006) and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014) among his biggest hits and most beloved roles.
He also starred in three hit TV shows: The Dick Van Dyke Show from 1961-1966, The New Dick Van Dyke Show from 1971-1974, and Diagnosis Murder from 1993-2001. The last also added five made-for-TV movies between 1992 and 2002 featuring his character, Dr. Mark Sloan, to Van Dyke's body of work.
He is set to appear in the comedy Capture the Flag that is currently in pre-production.
