This 'Sesame Street' Clip About Contract Negotiation Has Journalists Everywhere Saying 'Same' πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

Yesterday, Sesame Street Tweeted a clip of Cookie Monster negotiating a contract to become a journalist. The result is painfully relatable.

The clip is captioned,

"Negotiating that new year salary increase like:"

It features Cookie Monster trying to negotiate his contract for a journalist position with his employers Big Bird and Abby Cadabby.

Cookie Monster tells the pair,

"If me take journalist job, we need to discuss salary, and benefits, and time off."

The cookie lover then remembers one last very important request for his contract.

"Oh, and retirement package."

His demands fall upon confused ears, resulting in Abby Cadabby proclaiming,

"We'll give you a cookie!"

Cookie Monster eagerly agrees and reappears in full journalist garb, ready to begin his new job.

The exchange has journalists laughing (though possibly through their tears) at the negotiation's accuracy.

But at least there's the silver lining of the ultra-important lesson the series is teaching.

Who knew Sesame Street would be known for its realism?

Trump Gives Mind-Numbing Reason For Why He Voted By Mail-In Ballot After Railing Against It

Palm Beach County records show that Trump cast a mail-in ballot earlier this week in the special election for Florida’s House District 87, the district that includes his Mar-a-Lago residence. He also voted by mail in the January primary for the same race.

Lauren Boebert Gets Instant Factcheck After Crediting Trump With Speeding Up TSA Lines In Minneapolis

Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert was instantly fact-checked after she credited President Donald Trump's deployment of ICE to several U.S. airports as the reason why wait times in Minneapolis were down to under five minutesβ€”completely overlooking the fact that ICE hasn't been deployed to that airport.

This week, Trump announced that he would deploy ICE agents to U.S. airports amid a partial government shutdown that has caused exceptionally long delays at TSA lines nationwide.
