Pregnant Mom Calls Out Husband For Falling Asleep While Watching Their Two-Year-Old

TikToker @mstarland was alarmed after her two-year-old son woke her up from a nap to tell her that "Daddy is resting"—and she put her husband on blast.

There's nothing quite like discovering how much louder actions speak than words when your partner falls asleep on the job.

Especially when you're 38 weeks pregnant.

TikToker @mstarland began recording when her two-year-old son woke her from her nap in her darkened bedroom. The beginning of the video is jumbled chaos as she wrestles to get out of bed while her toddler asks her to "help" with something before suggesting what they could play together.

As the 38-week-pregnant mom sits on the side of the bed, she asks the most pertinent question:

"Where's Daddy?"

Her two-year-old promptly replies:

"Daddy's resting."

The TikToker follows her son out of the bedroom, down the hallway, and into the living room where toys are littered all over the room, including his father napping on the floor with a pillow comfortably tucked under his head.

The TikToker was flabbergasted.

"Babe, are you kidding?"

As it turns out, the 38-week-pregnant mom had been instructed by her husband to go "rest" before their second baby comes—so she went to bed trusting that her husband would handle watching their son while she slept.

The husband then argued that he had told their son to play right next to him while he rested his eyes, but he had quickly fallen asleep, and the toddler, being a toddler, had wandered off through the house and sought out his mother.

Toddlers are notorious for wandering off and getting into things that they should not, so it's fortunate that these parents did not find their son getting into something worse than the mom's LEGO collection while they both napped.

While the TikToker argued in a now-deleted comment that her husband was "normally amazing," it's still telling that her husband sent her off to rest to prepare for the baby but then did not follow through on taking care of their son while her guard was down.

People Who Smashed Wedding Cake In Their Spouse's Face Reveal How Their Relationship Is Going Now

According to The Knot wedding resource magazine and website, smashing cake into the face of a spouse after tying the knot is a tradition tied to medieval England. To celebrate the marriage, the bride would toss a piece of piece of cake over her shoulder for good luck.

This evolved into newlyweds feeding a piece of cake to one another, then taking frosting or a small bit of cake and rubbing it gently onto each other's faces—usually the cheek or tip of the nose.

The Obamas Just Shared A Rare Family Photo With Their Adult Daughters To Celebrate Sasha's Birthday

Former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama warmed hearts when they shared the same photo to their respective social media accounts, showing them with their adult daughters, Sasha and Malia, to commemorate Sasha's 24th birthday.

Sasha Obama was born in June 2001, nearly eight years before the family moved into the White House at the start of her father's first term in January 2009. She and her older sister, Malia, now 26, spent their formative years in the presidential residence, growing up there throughout their father’s two terms, until the family departed in 2017.

The term malaphor means when two or more colloquial phrases or idioms get confused and combined to create something nonsensical. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), malaphors are a common symptom of frontotemporal dementia or other cognitive impairments.

So when a person seeks to accuse someone of being unintelligent, their use of malaphors is ironic and possibly very telling—narcissists will always accuse others of their own faults and failures.
