Chris Pratt Sparks Heated Debate Once Again With His Mother's Day Tribute On Instagram

After previously sparking backlash for not including his ex-wife Anna Faris in his Mother's Day post honoring wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, Pratt has renewed debate by excluding her once again.

In what has become a Mother's Day tradition, actor Chris Pratt thanked his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger for being mother to his four children. But the mother of his eldest child—son Jack, age 12—was noticeably absent from his annual Instagram post.

Again.

Similar oversights in 2023 and 2024 drew public ridicule, but apparently Pratt was unbothered by it.

This year, Pratt captioned a series of photos of his wife:

"How do moms do it? Seriously. It’s like running a circus, a hospital, and a five-star kitchen all at once."
"Our kids hit the jackpot with you, and so did I. We love you. Happy Mother’s Day, Chief!"

You can see the post here:

The faces of their shared children—Lyla Maria, age 4; Eloise Christina, almost 3; and Ford Fitzgerald, age 6 months—were obscured, while his son with Faris wasn't in any of the photos.

People again took to the comments to ask why Pratt didn't acknowledge Faris.

In 2023, Pratt shared a photo of wife Katherine, his mother Kathy, and mother-in-law Maria Shriver, captioned:

"Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers out there. Especially grateful today for Katherine. You’re a wonderful partner. You’ve provided me such a blessed life. Our two daughters are so lucky to have you and you’re the best step mama to Jack."
"And to my mom, Kathy, you raised us with such love and light and laughter—so grateful for you today and always. And to Maria, the best Mama G, I’m lucky to have you as a mother-in-law."
"And to all of the other moms in my life, I’m so grateful for all you do- thank you so much. Hope you feel celebrated today."

People took offense to Pratt mentioning his son Jack by name, but lumping his mother Anna Faris in with "all the other moms."

In 2024, Jack was included in the photos and again mentioned by name when Pratt thanked his wife Katherine.

He captioned the post:

"Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there! Love to my Mom Kathy who set a high bar for her love, patience, humor, and joy in motherhood."
"And a special thank you my darling Katherine for all you do. Witnessing you be a mom to Lyla and Eloise and a stepmom to Jack makes me fall more and more in love with you every day. The 24/7 job of scheduling, transporting, loving, nurturing, managing calendars, planning activities, the nutrition, the boundaries, the rules, the patience, the gentleness, the firmness, the wisdom, and grace. It’s truly a marvel."

While the public has called out Pratt each year, Faris has remained silent on the matter.

While she's talked about their efforts to protect the imagery of a perfect Hollywood couple during their nine-year marriage on her Unqualified podcast, she has never publicly bashed Pratt.

By all accounts, the exes continue to amicably co-parent Jack. Even if Pratt fails to acknowledge her every Mother’s Day.

AOC Saves The Day By Giving Bronx Middle School Group A Tour Of The Capitol Amid Shutdown

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had people cheering after she stepped in to act as tour guide after a group of middle schoolers from the Bronx pulled up to the Capitol hours after the U.S. government officially shut down.

The federal government shut down early Wednesday after the White House and Congress failed to reach an agreement on federal spending. While Senate Democrats are in the minority, they hold enough seats to filibuster and are insisting that Republicans agree to extend federal subsidies for people insured under the Affordable Care Act.

GOP Lawmaker Sparks Outrage After Calling For Dem Rep. To Be Executed For Urging People To Protest Trump

On Wednesday, September 25, an Arizona MAGA Republican state Representative publicly called for the execution of Washington Democratic Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal because she urged anyone displeased with MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's job performance to exercise their First Amendment right to free speech and to protest.

Apparently, urging citizens to make their voices heard was a step too far for Arizona state GOP Representative John Gillette, who responded to a clip edited out of a longer video by right-wing account The Patriot Oasis (TPO). A quick scan through Gillette's X account media posts will reveal his political leanings.

Liberal TikToker Mortified After Discovering That Her Therapist Is Hardcore MAGA

There used to be a time where politics did not have to come into every room or be a part of every conversation. But in a world with President Trump and MAGA, it's not as simple as being Red, Blue, or Green anymore.

Now, the sociopolitical climate is dangerous for many people and still very stress-inducing for others. It's important to surround ourselves with people who make us feel safe and seen—and unfortunately, that might mean cutting out people who have "different beliefs" than we do.
