MTG Is Pushing For Elon Musk To Be Speaker Of The House—And Yes, It Could Happen

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene amplified Rand Paul's call for Musk to take over as Speaker of the House after Musk scuttled a bipartisan government funding deal.

Far-right MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is all in for billionaire tech leader Elon Musk to become Speaker of the House, which is not out of the realm of possibility.

Even though every House Speaker has been a member of the U.S. House thus far, the U.S. Constitution does not explicitly have a provision in place stating they must be an incumbent House member.

GOP Kentucky junior Senator Rand Paul mentioned this in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

"The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress," he wrote earlier this morning.

Paul suggested Musk unseat GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson, who was slammed by Republicans for the handling of his now-dead government spending bill.

The bill Johnson negotiated with colleagues across the aisle would have extended government funding through March 14, a couple of months into President-elect Trump's administration.

"Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk," wrote Paul, reminding his party's peers that "nothing’s impossible. (not to mention the joy at seeing the collective establishment, aka ‘uniparty,’ lose their ever-lovin’ minds)"

MTG, who filed a motion to oust Johnson in March, echoed Paul's endorsement of Musk.

"I'd be open to supporting @elonmusk for Speaker of the House. DOGE can only truly be accomplished by reigning in Congress to enact real government efficiency," said Greene, referring to Trump's proposed Department of Government Efficiency commission to be led by Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.

She added:

"The establishment needs to be shattered just like it was yesterday. This could be the way."

She followed up with another post asking followers:

"Would you support @elonmusk for Speaker of the House?"

She continued:

"The House controls policy and appropriations (spending) and can cut programs, departments, agencies, as well as make new laws like term limits and pass a balanced budget amendment."
"DOGE could become the legislative branch."

Her tweet was connected to a poll, which currently shows 82% in favor of the proposition.

Those who were in favor expressed support.

Others were indifferent as the businessman was busying himself with multiple other ventures.

MTG received over 70,000 votes on her post as of this writing.

Republicans' support for Musk as Speaker came after the Tesla CEO led the charge to stop Johnson's bipartisan funding bill on Wednesday. He posted over 100 tweets in a single day asking followers to call their representatives.

Musk, who never held a political position, slammed the bill, calling it "criminal." He also warned that any member of the House or Senate voting for the "outrageous spending bill" should be voted out in two years.

His criticism of the bill prompted Trump to urge Congress to ditch the bipartisan bill in favor of one with fewer provisions that would need to be passed by the end of the week.

The clock is ticking as the U.S. faces the increased likelihood of a government shutdown by Saturday.

Megyn Kelly Tells 'Homicidal Maniac' Lindsey Graham To 'STFU' About Iran War In Brutal Rant

Conservative pundit Megyn Kelly criticized South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham on Tuesday, calling him a "homicidal maniac" and demanding he "shut the f**k up" following his calls for intervention in Cuba and for President Donald Trump to join Israel in attacking the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon.

In particular, Graham urged Middle Eastern partners to do more to support the U.S. war effort, telling countries such as Saudi Arabia to “up your game.” He also criticized Spain after its leadership strongly opposed the attacks on Iran. Graham said Spain had “lost your way,” and called on the U.S. to cut ties with the country and withdraw its military air base from Spanish territory.

New Study Finds Alarmingly High Percentage Of Gen Z Men Think Women Should Be Submissive

As of 2026, members of Generation Z (typically defined as born 1996/97–2012) will be approximately 14 to 30 years old. They are the first generation in the developed world to have no recollection of a time before widespread internet access, cellphones, and social media.

They're also the first generation—in the United States—to grow up with women on the Supreme Court and the last major milestone of the women's rights movement, the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (VAWA), signed into law.

Lindsey Graham Dragged After His Latest Claim About Iran Directly Contradicts Trump's From Last Summer—And Oops

South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham was called out after he predicted on Fox News that the U.S. is "gonna obliterate" Iran's nuclear program by the time the recently-initiated war with the country is over, prompting critics to point out that he directly contradicted President Donald Trump's own claim from last summer.

Graham, discussing the war that began after the U.S., with the joint coordination of Israel, launched strikes against Iran on February 28, claimed Trump is “the right guy at the right time” because of Tehran’s supposed nuclear program.
