Sex positivity is becoming increasingly common, but the issue with that is not everyone can seem to agree on what qualifies as safe and responsible sex.

Not adopting safe sex practices, like using contraception and making regular doctor's appointments, puts everyone involved at risk for the transfer of sexually-transmitted diseases and pregnancy.

Chloe of @burn4chlo on TikTok recently shared some of the ridiculous responses she had received from potential partners when she attempted to ask them to utilize condoms.

Chloe used a popular trend on TikTok, complete with flashing colored lights and a remix of a popular TikTok sound, "KyleAndJackieo."

While she danced to the song, some of the men's excuses appeared on the screen, such as:

"Seriously? Most girls don't care."

The video quickly went viral, with over 960 thousand likes and nearly 8000 comments and shares.

Chloe shared a second video, still dancing to the song, with more responses.

The second video went viral, as well, with over 3 million likes, 22 thousand likes, and over 10 thousand shares.

Fellow TikTokers found themselves relating all too well to these videos, as many of them had heard these excuses, and a variety of similar ones, themselves. They found themselves either feeling pressured to have sex anyway or having to awkwardly walk away from the situation.

What alarmed many viewers, however, was the number of potential partners who placed all of the onus on the woman to either provide contraception or Plan B for herself, which will be much more difficult with the recent turning of Roe v. Wade.

Also, some could not believe the potential partners' emphasis on pregnancy only. While pregnancy during unprotected sex is an absolute possibility, so is the transfer of a disease, especially if a person hasn't had a doctor's appointment in a while or regularly participates in unprotected sexual activities.

Some were disgusted that there were guys out there making these excuses.

While there's nothing wrong with being sex-positive, there are safety precautions that need to be taken, so everyone can stay healthy and safe while having fun.

Especially in places where people's reproductive choices are being eliminated.

It's just difficult when people disagree about what is safe and necessary, which really should be a much bigger mood killer than asking your partner to use a condom.

People Break Down The 'Silent Red Flags' Folks Tend To Ignore In Relationships

A red flag has come to mean any warning sign in life, in addition to the literal red flags that are placed on beaches or industrial sites to warn people of danger.

People will respond to situations by saying, "That’s a red flag." But before that language evolved, they'd just call them "warning signs."
